The best advice i can give you is throw away all the diapers and just be prepared for lots of accidents.. I did this with my son, he then was doing it on his own cause he got sick of being wet. I am now in the process of training my 16month old girl and we have thrown away diapers and yes she has accidents but i just grab another pair and we keep doing it. Its the 4th day and she is telling me when she has to go.. So i suggest letting him see their is no more diapers, then make him sit on the potty at least every hour even if he just had a accident and after accidents make him sit on the potty with a book and say we cant pee in our underwear we have to go on the potty. We call pullups for nightime jammies. and we put them on right before they lay down... And for you the mom good luck . but if you stay consistent and not turn to a diaper for anything then he should be trained in a week.. It takes alot of patience for the mom. So award yourself too, Its hard work ....

First of all taking away things like thomas and chocolate is not the way, you need to reward if these are things he already gets you either give more or give something else.
You do not force potty training he will do it when he is ready. BUT a tip for what I did with my son was draw a monster face on a peice of toilet paper and lay it in the toilet and told him to sink the monster .. and when he was done i would replace so it would be there when ever he went.. GOOD LUCK

First of all let it go for awhile. If you insist he will resist. Drop the rewards. Count out the remainder of his diapers. Say "After 10 more diapers then you get to use the toilet." Get him a step stool for the adult toilet is he can't get up there himself. Put him in clothing that he can easily get on and off WITHOUT help. When you see him doing the "potty dance" say to him "It looks like you need to use the bathroom." Give it no more attention than that. He could start off by sitting for #1. Potty training experts say that it is much less confusing for boys to sit down for both. He can learn to stand later (unless he already knows how). It's much cleaner! If is soils himself (#1or #2), hold him responsible for the cleanup. Say "It looks like you need to change." He can remove the soiled clothing, rinse them out, put them in the laundry, and put on clean clothing. It will take a few tries, but he will soon learn it is much easier to use the toilet. Hope this helps!

Put regular underwear on him, if he pees in them, let him go in the bathroom and take them off and change his clothes or take a bath. Also make him clean it up. My Aunt had to do this with my cousin, after 3 days of it, she started using the toilet. They just don't want to stop what they're doing, but if they have to change their pants, they will realize it's quicker and easier to use the toilet.

first of all, do not force him. the more you do that the more stubborn he will become. rewards do not really work either, i know because i've done that. i promised him toys, etc but he still refused. my son did not potty train until he was almost five. he decided to learn when he started school because he wanted to be like the other kids and go to the restroom on his own. it takes longer for boys to learn so be patient!! he will let you know when he is ready to learn.

My daughter was very stubborn as well but one day she just decided to go on the potty and she's been going ever since. He'll do it when he's tired of sitting in wet and poopy diapers. good luck
