No, because if you take off the front rail and it isn't made for that...it could be very unsafe.

I don't think any crib can convert. But they have cribs that are like 3 in 1 or 4 in 1. That convert from crib, toddler bed, day bed, and then into full size.

No, it's too much trouble trying to convert it to a regular bed. Plus, it may sit too high if the crib is elevated. I say visit the Walmart website and get a toddler bed at a reasonable price. I did and it worked out well. My son enjoys the independence of being able to easily get in/out of bed.

It depends if the crib bed can be lowered down to a height that your toddler can get into and out of by himself. What i did was to remove the side of the fence that can be lowered and raised totally and locked the wheels. My crib didn't come with a guard rail so if you're like me, you can buy one to add on to it so toddler doesn't roll off. I also put a soft rubber alphabet mat and carpet on the floor just in case, but he never did fall off that way.

nope! If it doesn't say that it converts then it doesn't! Babies'R'Us has some nice 3 in 1. It is a crib, toddler bed, and a twin size bed. They are nice. I bought one for my son. It's a great investment.

Not any crib, but some can. I bought a gorgeous crib for my son that is currently a crib, but can eventually be converted into a daybed and then into a double-sized bed. It cost a sh*tload though.

Get a twin size mattress and put it on the floor (no frame yet), that way if they roll out they won't get hurt. Pad nearby with pillows too.
