my child is 2 years old ans still gets his bottle milk before he goes to bed and when he wakes up in the morning. He drinks water and juice out of a cup, or glass or whatever comes around but he wont drink milk out of a cup. Ive tried the transittion from bottle to cup before he was 1and im still trying. A simple training cup also doesnt work. He only takes his milk out of a bottle.
He gets a lot of dairy products during the day but drinking milk happens only in the morning and before he goes to bed? Any ideas???

I was just wondering if anyone knows a good way to get their kids to pick up after themselves. My daughter (whos 3) will go to her room and get out every toy she has...but then when it comes time to pick them up shes like uh huh no way. I don't care to pick up her toys but sometimes it gets kinda aggravating when i have to go pick up every single toy she owns 3 & 4 times a day. When we are at someone elses house and she gets toys out she will pick them up and put them back without me even asking her too. My 19 month old son is the same way...he used to help her pick them up and he will also pick them up if were at someone elses house but they will not pick their own toys up. So just wondering if anyone knew any good techniques into getting them to pick their toys up. Like a fun game to have them do or something? Oh and before i would always give them a dollar for picking their toys up and that don't work anymore...i've even offered them a dollar for every toy they pick up lol but nope.

what I mean is he won't eat anything he has to use his teeth with. I had him checked out by the ped. doc. and they say his teeth are fine, but he'll only eat like canned food like chef boyardee and stuff like that where he just swallows withough chewing. I have to kinda mush up his food like a "baby". Someone please help!

My 21 mos old daughter has been wearing diapers all the time, but recently, I took off her diapers and didn't let her wear any. she's aware that she's going to pass urine and knows how to say if she wants to pee, but when I brought her potty, she doesn't want to sit. I brought her to the bathroom, she never did. she keeps saying she wants to pee but she doesn't want to do that. she's like holding on to it. when she’s wearing a diaper, she just passes her urine. now, she knows how to say that she wants to pee even wearing a diaper. she just says that! But without a diaper she says but she doesn’t want to do that. what should I do?

We have been potty training for a week. It was going slow but going a lot better now. But today we put her down for a nap she obviously didn't want one she was talking and playing in her room so finally after a half hour we went and checked on her and she had poop everywhere. We don't put a diaper on her except at nap time and bed time. I know the poop being everywhere kind of a health hazard but the fact that she took the diaper off is that another sighn she's ready for potty training.

He landed on his head on the pavement today. He was about 3 feet up. He calmed down after a a minute or two and I checked for any external injuries. There were none. Not even a red mark. What type of symptons should I be watching for, for internal injuries.

when a baby (under 17 mos.) is a little chunky, eveyone including the parents think it's so wonderful and grand, and the cutest thing, and they are most assuredly healthy as an ox. Yet, when this same child is still fat at age 4 or 5, it's then not attractive anymore and the parents are worried and seeking nutritional/medical advice?

My daughter is progressing very well with her potty training. She can feel the need to urinate, and uses the potty independantly. There is an area that I don't know how to tackle- wiping after urinating. Her being 3, I am now uncomfortable wiping her every time she urinates. I hope that some other parents can help me with this.

My daughter just turned one. For the past month or so, she was able to take about 3 steps on her own. Today, she took about 12. So when people ask if she's walking yet, what do I say? Is it when they walk more than crawl?

My daughter is 2 years old and from the time she was 2 minutes old she has been sucking her thumb. I had the same problem and i didn't stop sucking mine until i was in middle school. I don't want her to have the same dental problems that I did. My parents tried so many things with me, such as tabacco sause, soap on the thumb, and i would just suck it off, and I don't want to put my kid through that, LOL, any sugeestions would be greatly appricatied.
