between movements..also extreme pain.
She is also 26 pounds ,which is small for her age. She is otherwise healthy. I have been to
alot(about 10,doctors) without much help or advice on this. I am just wondering if anyone else

My son is three years old he will be four in November. He has been sleeping in his room but he does not sleep in his room for the entire night. If he wakes up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom instead of going back to his bed he comes to my bed. I usually don't notice that he's there unless i myself wake up or in the morning when I wake up. I've been trying to tell him that when he wakes up at night for him to go back to his room and still he doesn't. Ive tried everything from leavin the hall light on to leaving the lights in his room on and putting night lights in his room nothing works. Please give me ideas or tell me if i'm doing something wrong.

My son is 13 months old and just moved to the walker room. In the past week he has been bitten 3 times by the same child and the daycare directors don't seem to think that there is any reason to be concerned. I've put my sons name on the waiting list at 3 other daycares with stricter rules on biting but what can I do until he can go to another facility?

How do I get my 25 month old to keep her diaper on at bedtime and nap time. When she is awake right now she just wears a t-shirt because we are potty training. When we put her to sleep she's taking off her diaper. Should I just be putting traing pants on her I have no idea what to do.

My three year old daughter likes to touch herself. I know it's normal and I have always just ignored it because I don't want her to be ashamed or to feel like she is doing anything wrong. But she is getting older and she grabs herself infront of other people now, not just at home. My mom even called me and asked me why she keeps grabbing her privates. Now, I know some would suspect abuse and she is touching herself because of something like that, but I can assure you that's not the case. I'm a stay at home mom and I am with my daughter at all times. She has just always had a fasination with herself, even from real early on. How do I approach a three year old on something like this? I don't want to embarrass her or make her feel like it's wrong. I just can't have her grabbing herself in public. Help! I don't know how to handle this. I know she is young but how much can she understand this early on in life about when is a right time to "play" with yourself. Any advice?

Do you have one? Do you have Breakfast, lunch, diner + snacks? What about drinks? Do you give your child juice w/meals or snacks or both? Or do you give them milk or water? Also, do you use a bottle or cup? I am asking YOUR experiences (or somone you know) not "what the book says".

( My son is two.) We found out that he was allergic because he ate spagetti and his cheeks became splotchy and his butt broke out with a real bad rash, but we didn't know what it was. Then we gave him benedryl one night and he looked good the next morning. I thought he might have been allergic to tomatos, but to be sure we gave him a tiny bit of ketchup with his chicken nuggets for lunch and about five minutes later his cheeks were blotchy again. We have tried regular diaper creams and it didnt go away. It feels how poison ivy feels, rough and raised. We put cortizone on it and it went away. But last night he screamed when I put it on, so i took it off and applied regular cream...I was just wondering what kind of cream will work for this...allergic reaction I guess. Thanks for your help!

My 3.5 Yr. daughter does not want to go to pre-school as she does not have friends. She used to go to pre-school when she was 2 Yr. 9 mo.. and she had no issues as she had a friend who is our neighbour. Now, her friend is in another class so she doesn't have any friends. She went to pre-school for first week and then she refuses to go to pre-school. After spending lot of time with her, I finally came to know the reason " I don't have any friends. No body talks with me".
What can we do? We are trying to make her understand that if she goes to school she will have new friends but she is not ready to go.
Any advice?
Thanks a bunch.

I am a first time mother to a 15 mnth. old son named Marquis. I am thinking about potty training. I am currently looking for books and other items to help me get him started. Am I starting to soon? When is the right age to potty train your child? I would like some mothers more experienced than I to leave a comment , list some materials ( magazines, books, etc) that I can read and words of wisdom that will help me. I don't want to start too soon but I don't want to wait to late either.

I have spent very little time with toddler boys and I live 9 hours from him. I was wondering if there are things that I should watch out for when I see him. I have taught special education for years but with older children. My child was easy to potty train and has had an easy adjustment to social situations. I know that every child is different. If this is unusual, I would like to know. He also hits without provocation.

My 15 month old throws food at every meal. We eat all meals at the dining room table and he chews the food then spits it out and throws it on the floor. Sometimes he does it quickly so we can't stop him, other times, he sees something else he would rather eat and spits the food in his month into his lap. We don't laugh at him and tell him "no" and spank his hand but he smiles and does it again. HELP-- It is hard to take him anywhere when he eats!

My son absolutely loves to play with toy guns, he's usually good about pointing them at the wall or couch (anything but people)....but he enjoys them soooo much, it worries me. If we go toy shopping, a gun is all he wants (he will choose it over anything). Would like some opinions about this or personal experiences.
