Almost every day,my 28 month old daugher crys in her sleep. It's not just crying.Screaming, yelling kicking, she even crosses her arms and gives an attitude. It always happens around 4-7am.When i try to wake her up,she doesn't wake up.She opens her eyes, but she is still sleeping. She has to stop on her own.Sometimes it lasts two minutes. All of that happens during the day with her brother. They fight alot.I wish it didn't happen in her sleep.

We hare hopefully getting a house very soon ,and I have no clue on how to decorate my daughters room. She will be three in November. She is not that girly so I don't know if I should do her room girly or not. I have this picture in my head of pastel colors with butterflies and dragonflies. My daughter is into cars and trains, but she can also be somewhat girly at times. So any ideas will be great.

Thanks to all

My four year old is constantly pretening that she is a puppy. She barks and refuses to use her huge vocabulary! She crawls on the floor and she even tried to lap water out of a glass at a restaurant with my grandma! Is this just a phase? We have two dogs, but we've always had them.

My 3 year old just started pre-school and she sometimes wets her self! Not much while she is at school but more when she's home. If I punish her for something, tell her to do something, tell her no about something or just make her mad she will wet her pants and then look at me or who ever and say "Look what you made me do now" or other smart a** things like that! How can I make this stop!

My 4yr. old won't stop sucking her two middle fingers. She has been doing it since she was a baby. I have tried several things over the past few years. I've tried everything from keeping her hands busy to putting hot sauce and mustard on them.
nothing has worked. Please help me.

PLEASE help us. We have an exceptionally bright 3 1/2 year old who IS potty trained (she CAN do it - we do have occasional "perfect potty days" but still has multiple urine accidents most days.

As I said, I KNOW she can do it. Sometimes she gets wrapped up in what she's doing and either "forgets" to go or just doesn't get there in time, and I get that. When that happens, I take away that privilege for the rest of the day (eg: computer, tv time). What completely baffles me is that sometimes it seems completely random, like at dinner she just pees all over her chair. Everything I've read says not to punish or embarrass her, but I'm getting to a breaking point where I feel like she's making a choice and SHOULD be punished - but how?

My older daughter was potty trained right around her third birthday, and we really didn't have any accidents after that. The child in question here is a middle child who gets a decent amount of attention. She keeps saying "when I'm 4 I won't have accidents."

and when she was two I would put her on a harness. I used to get awful looks for it but it kept her from getting too far. One day the harness magically disappeared from the backseat of my car, I think my daughter ditched it in the parking lot. Now, she is three and she has been getting worse at running off and not listening to my calls to come back. I would like to start using a harness on her again but would like some other parents input on their feelings on this. Do you think it's okay or are you against it?

My son is 23 months old, and I cannot get him to eat. I provide three healthy meals a day, plus snacks, and he doesn't touch them. It really worries me, because sometimes throughout the day he might only take two or thre bites of food. He takes a multi-vitamin and drinks lots of milk, but I know it isn't enough. He is very healthy, active and smarter than the average kid his age. My doctor said if he is hungry he will eat. Not True!!!!!!! HELP!!!

I was cleaning up breakfast and let him walk down the hall alone. He found our iron up on a shelf. The iron was off, but plugged in. I never thought about the power button being red, but that is one of his favorite colors. He got the iron on and by the time he made a sound I was running doen the hall and grabbing him up with the iron sticking to his hand. This is by far the worst experience of my life. My son has just had a skin graft which means not only does he have a cast on his left arm, he has an open wound on his thigh where the donor skin was taken from. I am presenting 2 questions, has anyone had this experience? How on earth do you deal with the guilt and blame associated? ...okay 3 questions... how did the graft turn out? Thanks!

My 2 1/2 yr olds has had a major skin rash for his whole life so he has sleeped with mom everynight to help with the itching. Avg days sleep was 6-8 hours. Now we have the itch under control so I was hoping we could catch up on sleep. Now all he wants to do is eat food all day and night. He goes to bed around 9pm and will wake up through the night still sleeping with me and says he's hungry. I have tried to keep him very busy through out the day with active play. He's just a highly active child. I can't keep up. Anybody else have a child who eats them out of house and home? if I don't feed him during the night he tosses and turns all night. He eats a great dinner and has milk before bedtime. If he' hungry then we feed him and he's pretty good at asking. But he will still wake up later saying he's hungry. I am beyond total exaustion! i am not able to work anymore because I can't survive on less than 6 hrs, and thats still up every 2-3 hrs at a time. ANY ADVICE PLEASE?

My daughter up until 1 month ago has slept in her own crib all night long. For the past month she screems everytime I try to put her in it. Last night I tried for over 2 hours to calm her even letting her "cry it out". I can't stand the screem she does. Its like she is scared. So I pick her up and bring her to bed with us and she sleeps all night without a peep. But this could strain our marrage really quick plus I don't sleep as well. But I don't want to let her "cry it out" HELP! OH! I should add that she is getting 3 or 4 top teeth, but she isn't fussy all day so I don't know why they would only bother her at night?
