My 25 month old daughter just started to take off her clothes and diaper at nap time and 2 days ago took off a poopy diaper (what a mess). Since then at nap time I have been putting on a tee shirt that snaps in the crotch and then pants (she has not figured out or tried to undo the snaps). I am 9 months pregnant and dont feel like dealing with any more messes at nap time. When she gets up from her nap I just re-dress her in her normal shirt/clothes and continue life as usual.

I think that is great. I wish my 2 year old would take her diaper off more often. She wants to be trained, but also wants her diaper. If you aren't ready then put a shirt that buttons on the bottom. If you are willing to let her sleep in underpants and she can't make it through the night, then wake her up to go potty and put her back to bed. I did that with my 4 year old because she did the same thing at the age of 2.

i went through this as well. I have a 4 and 5 year old girls. They always would take off there diapers and "poop" in bed. It made me so mad. I used training diapers. They are hard for them to get off. But at the same time, if you use them they then become the regular diaper. but if that does not work, I had to duct tape my youngest diaper on. I know it wounds kinda bad, but it worked. I only put tape over the Velcro, tape. And it was harder to get ahold of. Be careful it does not grab your baby's skin. That could hurt. Good Luck

I would just let her wear pull ups and make sure I had a mattress pad on the bed...she wants her independence from the diapers because she associates them with being a baby and right now is not the time to make her regress by tell her that she is and baby and she has to wear them. pull ups should hold out all night. I used to go and wake my son up before I went to bed at night just to potty. He would go to sleep about 8:30 but I would stay up until 11:00 or so and to keep him dry...i would walk him to the potty and turn the water on and bingo...just like a water fountain. after a while, his bladder got larger and i stopped him from drinking 2 hours prior to bedtime. that done the trick. But, remember...be persistant and it will not happen overnight. My son didn't stop wearing pull ups until i told him that he couldn't go to school like that...BAM...no more stinky in the diaper.(thats all he wore them for..he pee pee in the potty) that very day..no more pull ups...Good luck

I would try not to give her anything to eat/drink for a couple of hours b/4 her bedtime. Make sure she uses the potty b/4 putting her to bed, and put her in panties. You might want to get a plastic liner for her bed -you know the kind that's like a fitted sheet. She shouldn't have many accidents if any. I'm just getting my daughter potty trained and that seems to be working. I even would put the potty in her room, so she could use it if she needed to.

Most times when a child is in transition with potty-training, they usually like the freedom of no diaper. Training pants is a good idea. But you also need to talk to her and let her know, that she can't go to bed without protection. A good idea is to show her that you and daddy go to bed protected. Good luck.

My son DID NOT want diapers either. I dont care for the pull-up things, I think they are a rip off.
I would LET her be a big girl. Let her wear her big girl panties to bed, explain to her that she needs to keep them dry so if she needs to potty she needs to get up.
She is going to have accidents, maybe, so get a couple of plastic sheets to put on the bed at night/nap time.
My son NEVER wet the bed wearing his big boy pants, once they decide they are ready they ARE ready.
Best of luck

Try putting underwear (with her favorite tv charector on it) over her diaper. Tell her , "Your a big girl, and if you start to on the potty, you don't have to wear a diaper!" This works with most cases, and I hope it helps!

I'd try putting training pants (not the pampers kind, but like real underwear with extra padding) and see what happens. But a thick blanket or waterproof mattress under her sheet and be prepared to do some laundry, just in case.
Good luck.

well it's obvious what she is trying to tell you is "leave it off and if I can stay dry in the day time then I can do it in the night time"
I had a daughter like that and it was just great cuz the moment we took the diaper off in the day time voom no more at night too!
