most children will have accidents up to ages 5-7...age 4 is a reasonable age to potty train a girl, but I'd wait until 5...you cut back on a lot of stress, and a size 6 diaper comfortably fits a five year old girl any ways....i've had a few friends that waited until 5 to potty train...the whole if she hides when she's messing her pants then she's ready isn't true....most of the time they start going and they just naturally seek privacy...for one of my friends when her daughter did this it was a sign but she was 5, and had just really become fully ready to be trained...she would squat in the corner of the room and pretend she was busy when she was pooping her diaper...your daughter will start to show more signs of readiness as time goes on....let her decide when she's ready and don't push the issue on her...this is one thing a child has control over...if she wants to learn when she's really little let her, but if she wants to wait until she's 5 let her..when she's ready it will be easy

By the book it is age two or three, but you should do it whenever she shows interest. Some tricks of the trade is blue toilet water and when they pee they turn the "Magic Potty Water" green. You can also do, stickers, candy, small marshmallows ( depending on how old your child is due to chocking hazard). You can buy a doll that pees and have your child help you potty train that and reward the doll. Or what worked with my daughter, we babysat a friends child who was trained and she saw first hand the perform and reward system that goes along with potty training and wanted to be praised and receive treats just like this child did. No kidding, she was trained in a few weeks tops. You will find what works best for your child. Also, buy some literature for your child. Books and movies go a long way too. Be patient and respect their privacy. Remember, could you do that with someone hovering over you with m&ms in a bag, smiling say "pee pee for mommy?" Good luck!

a very good age to start potty training is when you notice that your child wakes up in the morning and has little to no urine in their diaper. that is normally a great sign that they are ready to be potty trained. This can be any age from 1-3 years old. After that use little tricks that get her excited about using the potty, like big girl undies, cheer for her when she goes in the potty, things like that. She'll be trained in no time...

the right age to potty your daughter is two years of age. The best way to do this, ever time you go to the Lady's room take your daughter with you and sit her down on the potty the same time you go or run water so she can hear the water running most likely makes her use it. Praise her for her big girl moves . and ask her do you have to potty.

Wait for signs that she is ready. When she tells you that she has just peed or pooped. Do not rush potty training as it can backfire on you. All kids will pottytrain at different times. It isn't a set age. A good thing to do is get her a doll (There is an elmo potty doll) Let her put elmo on the potty and have her relate to that first.

My daughter was potty trained by 18 months.Every child is different,so you may be surprised at an early trainer or disappointed at a late bloomer.Be sure to give plenty of praise for positive results, and let the negative outcomes slide.

You probably wont need to even think about it for at least another year, so just relax. What kind of preparations do you think this involves that you need to begin thinking about it now? Anyway - when she's closer to being able to communicate that she needs to go potty, you can start introducing her to a potty seat. You can also search on the internet for "potty training tips" -- I got hundreds of hits.

If your child doesn't understand the concept of going potty in the toilet, it's frustrating for the child and a waste of time for you so don't bother even trying until she seems to be ready.
When you think she ready. Give her "big girl" underwear and tell her when she has to go pee to tell you. In the meantime, you can bring her to the toilet every couple of hours and sit her on the potty so see is if "she can go".
Be prepared for alot of accidents. But one day, it will click in her brain that she has to go and make it to the potty in time.
Make sure you make a BIG deal about it when this happens and it will encourage her to do it again.
Good Luck.

When your daughter is ready she will start making signs like telling you she has done something in her nappy or trying to take the nappy off. If you have a toilet trining potty near your toilet, she could do some practicing while you ardoing the deed. Modesty does go out the windeow when toilet training toddlers.

I think its great that your really thinking about this huge milestone. Our girl started peeing at 11/2. Just set out the potty and take her with you. You know her and know her limits, so don't put any pressure on her. Make it fun and yes you will probably purchase dipes for a while yet. Ours was completely finished at 21/2.
