My five year old has sung the National Anthem since she was 3. People are amazed she knows the melody and the words. She sings the traditional toddler songs too. What does your toddler like to sing??

My son is 3.5 years old and is making zero progress with potty training. My husband and I have done everything to aid him in this milestone. Rewards, stickers, taking away pull ups, asking every hour, then every 30 minutes, using charts, videos, books, everything! I have tried laying off for a while to give him a break, but that hasn't worked either. We are confident that he is ready because he sleeps through naps and nightime without wetting. Additionally, whenever he goes to the bathroom, he always says "I go potty" after he does it on himself. Needless to say we are at our complete wits end with the entire process. My patience is spent, and I have run out of ideas. I've consulted friends and family with children for advice, read books, surfed the net, always coming up with the same methods we've exhausted. This child is very bright otherwise - thus increasing my frustration that he can't get this. While my husband isn't as worried as I am, we both are about to loose it. HELP!!!!

My great nephew is 3. He has been caught with another child his grandma babysits, doing inappropriate things. Two weeks ago they had their shirts off under the covers kissing. Last week they got caught with her pants down under a blanket. Then 2 days ago they got caught with his pants off, on top of her in the hallway. What advice do I give my sister?
Also, the little girls mom just laughs when my sister has brough it up, she says things like "kids will be kids".
Is this a normal take on a situation like this?
They are only 3!
Please help me to help her.
Thanks in advance....

I am gonna be a sophmore in highschool and my history teacher from last year (who is the teacher who has impacted me the most out of ALL of my previous teachers in every grade) and I still keep in touch via e-mail. We were talking about the recent violence in Isreal-Lebanon. He said that his 2 and a half year old daughter saw some of the violence and bloodshed of it on T.V. when he was putting her to bed one night and she asked "What was that". He asked me, in my future if this happened wat would i do? now i am usually good at giving advice and solving problems but i have no idea on this one. plz help. thx.

We have started potty training our 16 month old daughter . She has all of the "ready signs " we have discussed this topic with her Pediatrician and she says go for it . I say this to resist anyone from mentioning that she is too young . She has already urinated in the adult toilet 5 times in 2 days . She is very smart and has been very pround of herself . I also want to stress that we are very gentle with this matter . We are not pushing her into anything . She is very excited to sit on the toilet and pee . I am wondering about the pros and cons of using a potty seat versus an insert for the adult toilet . Any potty tips would be helpful . Also , did anyone let their toddler run around naked to ease training ? How did that go ? Did anyone put the potty seat any where other than the bathroom for easier access ? Please only loving answers !

I usually let my 2 yr. old son fall asleep in my bed. When he goes to sleep we put him back in his bed. If/When he wakes up in the middle of the night (crying) he comes and gets in the bed with me and my husband. Should I allow him to sleep with us or put him back in his bed? Or not let him fall asleep in my bed to begin with? Oh, also his 3 mo. old sister sleeps in our room in her crib so he's a bit jealous of that. What should I do?.....help.

The boy I babysit will be two in Sept, and he can play the harmonica. I mean PLAY it, not just make noise. He knows how to move it across his mouth making the different notes. He has SID with signs of autism. Nobody has worked with him on this, he just picked it up and started doing it. Developmentally, for those who know, is this normal, or an amazing talent?

I have tried to start potty training my 2 1/2 yr old little girl about a week ago. She wants to sit on the potty alot, but nothing comes out until we put a diaper on her. I bought big girl panties, a potty book, decorated a potty with stickers and evern got prizes for her for when she goes. But unless she actually pees or poops I cant give her a prize. I tried warm water on her hands, feet and even dribbled down her bottom but nothing is working. Is she just maybe not ready? I thought that she was cause she doesnt like a dirty diaper and asks to sit on her potty. She is very advanced in her speach and knowledge (counting etc. ) so I dont know why she couldnt be ready for this.

I'm have two older kids, girls and they were nothing like him. I thought I had this parenting thing down but he gets more horrible every day. My girls are good kids, fairly well behaved. He was such a sweet lovely baby but it started when he started walking and he's gotten worse ever since.

He has had stitches twice - my daughters never have! He gets into everything, wants to take apart or investigate everything, do everything himself, has horrible temper tantrums when thwarted, if something cannot be eaten he must bang it, hit people with it or hide it. He torments his sisters, he likes to squash bugs, he yells loudly and he loves to make a mess. He is on the go from the minute he wakes up in the morning till he finally falls asleep at night (thank God!)

Is he just a typical boy? I love him dearly but please, when do boys like this get more civilized?

We live in Charles County Maryland. The boys are very fun, and energetic. They love just about everything that other toddlers their age love. They are very into teletubbies. I'm just completely out of ideas. I don't want to do Chuck E Cheese, or McDonalds. Please help!!!

My little girl has been an only child and grandchild until now. I am about to have a little boy and her aunt is going to have a baby too. She seems happy at times, but anytime she gets around my mother she says she doesn't want a baby because things will change. I have talked to my mother, but the damage has already been done. I want to know some ways to include her before and after the baby is born. I want her to get excited again. I have 4 weeks left until my due date.

and the child father also does the samething, but he only has to deal with the child once every two weeks, the child is so rotten that the mother cant handle it and constantly complains but continues to spoil the child because she has no idea how to raise kids.
and then you get stuck baby sitting the brat and it embarrasses you when you out in public example she falls in the floor of the super market haveing a tempertantrum.
And i think 3 yrs old she should be party trained and should have stopped breast feeding, now i have a child on the way with her and i dont want my son to turn out like that what should i do?
now for the most part the child behaves around me but when she see's her mother she acts a fool ,she yells at her mother throws things and when ever i disapplend her ,her mother picks her up and it starts all over again.
now this is a familly trait because the mother has two brothers one 42 the other 39 they both still live with they mother
