We live in Charles County Maryland. The boys are very fun, and energetic. They love just about everything that other toddlers their age love. They are very into teletubbies. I'm just completely out of ideas. I don't want to do Chuck E Cheese, or McDonalds. Please help!!!

How about the park?? It is not at your house. The cost is free. There is lots of room for active boys to run and play. We had our son's 2nd birthday at a park. We bbqed hamburgers and hot dogs, had cake and presents and lots of playing. My son is into Thomas, so I did Thomas cake, plates, table clothes, and goody bags. The kids had a great time, and were ready for afternoon naps. We did it from 10-1. You can do something similiar with a Teletubby theme.

Contact a Fire Station. Many will allow a group of kids to come into the station, run the lights, hit the horn, etc. My grandson had one and it was sooooooo much fun!! The firemen had a cake waiting for him and little play fireman outfit (parents did NOT know they were doing that - wonderful surprise).

Then go to a park for your cake & ice cream & presents unless you are lucky tooo, then just share the cake with the men and have fun.

Do you have a farm nearby? We have one that puts party packages together and it's great for kids! Also, some museums have parties available...I agree a park can be a lot of fun, too...get a jumpy and have and old fashioned barbecue!

@ 2 they really don't care where it is, as long as you are happy and they have someone to play with they will be happy. My girlfriend had her sons 2nd birthday at a hall and he sat in the cornner and played with he cousin, and his shoes and he is really a social kid. Cut them a break have the party where they can just play and be with those they love. 5-6 now you are going to have to be creative but now....relax they will still love you.
