Ugh, my son used to watch it too, thankfully, he's over that phase. Those were the two most annoying bunnies I ever seen! I couldn't stand that show.
They're not cute, Ruby IS a control freak, and Max is just downright bothersome. He never listens, he;s always in his own little world, and where ARE their parents???You always see Grandma floating around, but, basically these two young bunnies are left to fend for themselves most of the time!

Ha Ha I'm just glad to hear that other boys watch this show. I was a little concerned when my three year old son fell in love with this show. I thought that it was a little too girly for him. Ruby drivers me nuts!! I also wonder where their parents are, but I think Ruby does a good enough job bossing max around that they figured they didn't need to be there. LOL. My son love's the show and the world stops when this show comes on. I figure it gives me a half hour of peace when it comes on. LOL

I have wondered this too, I haven't seen the show in a while ( my kids are getting older) but it did seem that ruby was an annoying control freak --poor little max doesn't get to do anything without ruby griping at him.

I never knew who Max and Ruby were until I was at Walmart one day and walked past the videos. My 2 yr old daughter started yelling "Max and Wuby, Max and Wuby!!!" I bought the video and she has watched it almost everyday since. Sometimes 4-5 times a day. She enjoys it so I let her watch it whenever she wants. She learned to count and speak some spanish from Dora so I think these kinds of shows are great.

I have asked myself the same question, my daughter loves it. I have watched it and I wonder where the parents are, and what message are they trying to give. You know Ruby is young if she is in girl scouts. And I don't like how Max really doesn't talk a whole lot. Yes this show does really bug me, I kinda redirect my kid when it is on to something else.

I was wondering the same thing!!! Max and Ruby shouldnt be on TV in my opinion. Ruby is a complete control freak and "acts" like the mother. Is this the kind of tripe we want our children learning? How to be controlling?? I wrote them an email a month ago (nick Jr) and asked for Rosemary Wells writting address. Anyone that wants to go in on it with me please email me chik620@yahoo.com

is that the show with the rabbits? and max is always tryin to find a way out of doing stuff and spends more time finding a way out than if he actually did it? yah that show annoys me too, and my son watches it sometimes......

to be honest i thought ruby WAS the mom because she was always telling max what to do lol

You know, that show really bothers me to the core of my being!! Not only is Ruby a bossy, controlling spaz, but her voice is like nails on a chalkboard. Not a very good example to be setting if you ask me.

I usually don't answer questions like this... but... I agree with you on this one!

Seriously annoying and bizarre show and her voice!! I can't watch that one too long.

I think Ruby should just kill Max, before I do!

I think the point of the show is to illustrate to preschoolers how to deal with others, no matter how difficult they may seem.

Max always finds a way to circumvent Ruby's orders, so maybe it also teaches that there is always more than one solution to a problem?
