No honey for kids under 1! It's best to wait until your baby is at least 2 years old. It can cause botulism. Please check with your doctor.
Also, if your baby has diarrhea, make sure they get plenty of fluids. Diarrhea can also be a sign of a food allergy so if you have given baby any new food to try recently, that could be the culprit.

NO- there is bacteria in honey that can make babies and toddlers very sick. For the toddler with diarrhea, I would suggest cutting cheese into thin strips and using mini cookie cutters to cut shapes out of them for a fun snack. Fun to make shapes, and the cheese will firm up the stools.

Honey was used in the old days for coughs--do not give your baby that especially for or during diarrhea.
Honey and Caro syrup have been linked to crib death
If he/she has had diarrhea for a whole day you need to give him/her water with a pinch or sugar and a pinch of salt--for about 4 or 5 ozs

Never give a baby honey.
It can cause botulism, making baby very sick.
Wait until at least after a year old.
Try lots of liquids...water and pedialyte for diarrhea.

Old wives tale that you give a baby honey when they're constipated. My pediatrician said, NO, NO, NO!

Hmm, lots of differing opinions on this.
Honey is nature's energy cell; it provides lots of carbohydrates and other nutrients to boot.
On the other hand, it's made by bees, so who knows what kind of insectial "extras" are present that may cause unwanted effects in some babies...
