If there are any doctors or any one that can give advice i really need it. about 20 minutes ago my husband son and myself were coming in from the pool and we have about six cement stairs leading from the in ground pool to the back yard. My son fell down from the top stair and slid down on his left side mostly on his left arm. He has "road rash" on the arm but seems fine other wise. (he didn't even cry) but he keeps holding his left arm, but also moves it. Could it be broken? should i take him to the e.r. my hubby says he is fine, and usually i would listen but i am just so upset i don't know what to do. help please!!!!

Ok, where do I begin? My daughter is 3 yrs 3months old and has been completely potty trained for WELL over a year. All of a sudden she has been having 2-3 accidents a day. She has been sucking on her dolls bottles all the time. She will pretend to cry like a baby. Every morning I will wake up to find her in bed with my husband and I. She has NEVER been a co-sleeper. All this behavior is really out of character for her. I have tried to figure out what has been causing this. She is an only child. We have NO plans of adding to our family ANY time soon. I can't figure this out. Any ideas? Or suggestions? Oh right now she has just brought her blanket to me and asked me to wrap her up like a baby.

My two yr old had been diagnosed, from almost birth, with eczema.I di NOT want her on a cream that contains steroids and up til now,it has been under control.I have used benadryl and hydrocortizone creams.I also tried a eczema cream, made for babies, that they sell in the store.Does anyone have any ideas on something, especially home remedies, that might help control the rash.IF I cannot get it under control,I am going to talk to her pediatrician to see what she can prescribe. Thanks all.

My son has a small cavity in his front tooth. The dentist is recommending filling it and plans to use nitrous oxide but I'm wondering if that is really necessary. I think he can do it without the anesthesia. I'm sure other mothers have had to make this decision before, and was wondering how it turned out.

I'd like a creative send off so she'll know that she won't be using them anymore.

I have an in-home daycare and one of the kids (almost 3 yo) is VERY behind socially and developmentally. He can't do things that many 1 year olds can and cannot talk except a couple single words. I have only had him in my daycare for about 2 months and have a good rapport with his mom (she also has an older child in my daycare that is a little behind but not as severely). How can I suggest that she have her child evaluated without hurting her feelings? I think it would be beneficial for him to have assistance early on instead of waiting until he is in school and possibly too far behind to function in a normal classroom. I have worked in special education classrooms for a few years and know how important it is to treat them early. I just really don't want to hurt her feelings but I don't think she sees that there is a problem. Please help!

Ok, I know, taming is for animals but man, these kids act like one sometimes! How should you discipline a kiddo of 3 years that feels like what he is doing (bad) is funny. I get upset but he laughs....then I give him time out but this is not working. I've also taken favourite toys away from him but then he just moves on and forgets I even took it from him...
What to do??

Looking for an original activity for Mom's group to put on the calendar for next month. I live in Providence, RI so anything nearby or at home would be great. Some past ideas were a birthday party for Dora, a tour of the mounted police, and a trip to Davies Farm in Ma which was also a petting zoo. Looking forward to your responses. Kids are between 6months and 5 yrs old.

It's huge and so grey it's silver!!!! I don't think he's stressed out. All he does is play all day & I make sure he eats right and gets the proper amount of vitamins and stuff every day. We go outside when it's not too hot (we're in Florida) & go for walks. We try to make sure he socializes often and gets a variety of environments to be exposed to.

Is this something I have to worry about?

My mom takes care of my son while I work, and he gets along great with her. She is going away for 6 weeks, and now my mother-in-law will be watching him for 2 of these weeks. Everytime I drop him off and she comes near him, he starts to cry and scream, and won't let go of me! How can I get him to warm up to her? He usually sees his paternal Grandparents once a week, so I don't know why he is making strange?

He's too young to feel that way I know, but he's always afraid that his classmates are going to laugh at him for something he wears and things like that. This behavior just started and I don't know why but I want to correct it so that he can be a more confident adult. Any suggestions?

She started a day care center 4 months ago, upon which she has developed this habit. She usually does this when she watches her movies and sometimes prefers her toys to stick to her mouth. I am really worried about it. I don't know why she does that and how I can prevent it.
