the young children of today seem to be out of control - with no one taking responsibility for them or seeming to care

where are the parents?
what are the schools doing?
what are the police doing?
what about the government?

there seems to be more focus on the bad ones and the children who do manage to behave themselves are being ignored.

they seem to have lost their sense of direction, only wishing to have careers in music, marry a footballer and getting their clothes off.

who is teaching them about values and self respect, and respect for others

...reason why i am asking this is cause one of the parents is worried that its going to hurt the 12 yr old that there is not going to be a mom and dad anymore. But what about the step-parents?Step-parents make the best parent some times. one of the parent's is afraid how to tell the son that there is going to be a step-parent cause the son has already said he didnt want a step-parent.he's still young, dont u agree? the son will get over it, thats a fact.kids who have grown up and been thru this situation are free to respond.

I am a mom to a 14-month old little boy and I am married to what I consider the great love of my life. Here is my questions I am requesting personal experience, honesty on the highs and low's of motherhood as well.

Do you like being a mom? Do you have days that are great, terrible, and are there times when you actually regret being a mom...even in an instant wether you seriously mean it or not. What age so far has been the best for you raising your children?

I love my son and I would never want to "not" have him in my life ever. He has enriched it to a different degree that has led me to achieve unlimited love that I thought I never had.

I however will admit honestly that there are days where I just do not want to deal with him, wish he was not in the same house as me and even briefly think of life befor motherhood....I never hate my child I do however get stressed sometimes as a direct cause of his behaviour...but i get over and deal.

What do you guys think or do ?

My son is graduating high school this year and is making plans to go away to college, get an apartment, etc. I look at him and see a toddler who needs the protection and care of his mother. How did he grow up so fast and will I be able to let him go without falling to pieces and getting deeply depressed?

Two twin boys and one girl: ages 3 (the twins) and 6 months (the girl)

I have been nannying for this family for a while now and feel like I am getting ripped off. They are sweet kids, and I wanted to set a reasonable rate for an an average-moderate income family. What would YOU personally expect for three little kids?

Which would you prefer if you were a parent/parents? Which sounds sweeter? I prefer Mama and Papa; they sound more quaint.

What possible reason do people have for telling their children that Santa exists? My parents told me, but I never believed, and I actually was pretty pissed that they were lying to me.
I understand that this makes Christmas more "magical" for the kinds and for the whole family, really. But, how can you not feel like a hypocrite when your kid finds out you're lying?

I just don't see the point, help me out! :)

I have a 3 1/2 yr old who got soap in her eyes a couple weeks ago and now refuses to bathe because she's scared the bubbles will get in her eyes again. I have tried putting toys in there for her, giving her swim goggles..nothing works. If she does get in the tub she starts screaming at the top of her lungs and I cant even try to wash her hair..any suggestions?

proud of their kids?
When my daughter was younger she was a competive gymnanst. In 1996 she competed at the Badger State Games. At the awards ceremony she was awarded 1st place all around, but she added up her scores and realized that there had been a mistake in the scoring, so got up in front of the whole State of Wisconsin and declared that there was a mistake and she didn't deserve the medal and returned it, Other kids hid theirs. After re-tallying the results she ended up with 3rd place all around and 3rd place on uneven bars. All this from an 11 year old. I had never been so proud of her.

I just don't get it. Why do some women think that because they are wealthy that it makes them a good mother? Does it really matter if you drive a mercedes or a pinto? Is it just that these people are superficial or is there something I'm missing?

Couples tend to have children at a later stage according to statistics. Many women have children after their 40's now. Is it good or bad for the next generation?

My daughter who is 14 was robbed walking home from school what is the best way to make her feel its ok to walk home again as now shes afraid..yes we filed a police report

2006-12-07 11:08:00 · 10 answers · asked by Anonymous

I let me one year old take spills when she's out in the yard without tagging below her shadow helping her up everytime. She can walk and run well, and she's strong as a bull. I want her to help herself sometimes. People look at me like I am crazy though. When people tell me something my kids have done that is negative, I ask (my 6 year old) and if it has been so, I apologize for their behavior and make them do so as well.

My baby enjoys her little personal space. Sometimes, she wants to play with her stuff alone and will swat me away. I've been called bad because I didn't hover near regardless and force my company upon her. Granted, if anyone did something cruel to my kids, I'd be pissed, but it seems a lot of parents (esp. moms) are on the razors edge anticipating a row about most anything someone says contrary about their kids. This seems to be teaching confrontational behavior and weakens the kids own defenses, in my opinion.
