I've just made 40 elf costumes for the school play! Little green 'dresses' with zig-zag hems and red collars. Apparently my son fell asleep during the dress rehearsal so I don't anticipate anything as exciting as a West End show!

What haven't they asked us to make or take part in. The whole school years have been full of strange things and believe it or not I've kept most of them because I can't believe I got roped into helping with it.
I think the worst was the Indian Tee-pee that was made out of paper mache and no one knew how to make it stay and they were like mud huts. It was the worse.

When my kids were in Head Start the teachers asked us to make homemade play doh. It is great! If one of the kids eat it it is all natural. I should know, my daughter would eat ANYTHING!!!

Then in kindergarten I made about 30 Train Engineers hats from construction paper. That was a blast to. Nothing was beneath me for my kids.

Then in Junior High we made clay Chinese Warriors, suppose to be like ones unearthed in China. Ours was a far cry from theirs. Poor models legs kept falling off even when we tried to use tooth picks.

Now they are in High School. Enough on that. They are to independent for my help.

Easter Bonnets are the best.......I really love making them. Each year the school have a competition and all the kids and parents are there, sort of a parade. We very rarely win but all the kids get an easter egg for taking part.......they love it!

To be honest it ends up costing me a fortune and taking hours and hours to make....but hey....the things we'll do for our kids!
