Have you tried www.justdresses.co.uk ? They have great girls' dresses which are age appropriate, something which is hard to find these days.

I am sooo glad I'm not the only one with this problem! My 4yo is extremely tall (size 6-6x, and she just turned 4). She only wears dresses, so I'm always looking for clothes for her that don't make her look like a tiny 15 year old. I mostly buy regular daily-wear type dresses, not dressy stuff. I've had very good luck with Gymboree, but their stuff can be a bit pricy. I've found one or two dresses at Kmart, but it's hit or miss there. JCPenney has good dressy dresses. The other thing I've done a lot is go to resale shops--also hit or miss, but I've found a bunch of cute things that way for a good price. Good luck, and post here if you find a good store!
P.S. I just received a dress for her in the mail from Lands' End--it was a bit pricey, but it's REALLY cute and age appropriate. Check out their web site--their sizes go from toddler through little girl to big girl, so you can figure out where the child in question fits.

My sister had the same problem. Try JC Penney's and Target. My mom always found nice clothes there. Best of luck!
