My daughter had this problem too. I told her it was bath time but we weren't going to wash her hair. She was okay with that because she likes to play in the tub. We went 2 days not washing her hair but putting her in the tub. The next day, we just wet her hair but with no shampoo. Following day, I told her I wasn't using shampoo but I put a tiny bit on a wet facecloth and squeezed it on the back of her head (so none would get in her eyes. Day after that I put some pictures at the top of the wall so she would have to look up at them and shampooed her hair and rinsed it off with her head back. That seemed to work for us. Now when I wash her hair, I give her some shampoo for her doll and we wash hair together. She's learned to lean her head back so the shampoo doesn't get in her eyes.

try giving her an opportunity to create a masterpiece that mommy will photograph. Put her in a swimsuit, give her washable paint or yogurt with food coloring in it and some paintbrushes. tell her that when shes all done painting you'll photograph her great work of art! dont even mention washing her! This exercise will help her to have fun and slowly ease her back into the idea of even going near a tub.
OR. let her wash your hair and pretend she got soap in your eyes, but be strong and tell her its okay that you need clean hair and let her continue washing your hair despite the bubbles in your eyes!

This happened once when my husband was bathing our daughter, so I actually got in the bath with her to show her that everything was ok.
I also bought a bottle of bubble bath to make bathtime fun for her and now everytime she has a bath she asks for "bubbles".
When I need to rinse the shampoo off I say bubbles in your hair and she loves it.
Maybe in your situation you need to try and have a bath with just plain water. I use Johnson Baby Bath to wash her down and to wash her hair (there are no bubble foams in this).
Hope this helps.

My son did this too...because he pooped in the tub...hahahaha...and did not want to do it in there again...I bathed him in the kitchen sink for a bit and in the shower and then we got back to the bath by playing boats and floats in the tub without being "in" it...just do what you can to keep her clean and you will work it out on your own...maybe let her see you get soap in your eyes and get her to help you with a cloth over your eyes tyo finish...sumthin...good luck

I have the perfect tip for you!!
Put a sun visor on her head and then proceed to wsh her and her hair. Her face will stay completely dry. When her fears subside and she eases back into liking baths, you can slowly, WITH her permission take the visor off.
Also take a radio or CD playe rin there with you. Kids love music in the tub.
I won't say good luck, b/c I know this works.

Try giving her a bath, but first let her put that old nasty soap in the trash. Let her know that you understand and agree with her.Bad soap anyway !Then institute an alternative soap, but take your time doing it.

it ought to were some thing that set her off, gained't look annoying to you yet replaced into to her! My daughter replaced into round a similar age even as she freaked over the bathtub! And it replaced into some thing so elementary as a toy falling into the water which then splashed her interior the face. try bathing her ever different nighttime or each and every third nighttime once you should. do not provide up, save it relaxing and she'll quickly get over it. yet yet again my daughter hated bathtub time replaced into even as she replaced into 14 months previous and we moved to our new residing house, she needed not some thing to do with the bathtub! Took her some weeks, I even had to get in some nights to tutor her it wasn't so undesirable. So perhaps get in once including her.

Have you ever seen that bath confetti, it is pretty cool and kids love it. When you wash her hair just tilt her head back and use a cup to rinse it out. It always works with my nephew.

I would try getting in the tub with her. If you are one of those who is sketchy about your child seeing you naked after they are a certain age, then put on a swimsuit.

Start by bringing her to a swimming pool and let her enjoy herself. Then slowly bring her to a tub without any washing yet. let her enjoy inside and give her a sponge and she will do it herself...
