do you think it would be safer to teach your own children at home? and yes i know many will say "then they wont get any social interaction." you can go to the playground, parties, etc and make friends with others in the neighborhood.
i know many have said it will cost more but im willing to do such a thing as long as i dont have to worry about my child being killed while at school.
your thoughts?

My 3 girls are driving me nuts! They are ages 6,8 and 10,and all they do from the second they walk in the door from school is fight. I am getting to where I dread seeing them. Alot of the times I don't know who started it and they all blame each other. How do you deal with this? I have tried everything. Seems like its just getting worse. My husband is deployed, and I am raising them as a single mom would right now. When I try to read to them, they fight over who turns the page. The last fight was "The bug bit me..No it didn't...it bit me!!"
I mean come on..I need a break! lol! Any advice?

I'm 15. My baby is almost a month old. Yes I know that I'm very young. It was a mistake. I take care of my own child and I go to school and have a job. The daddy of my baby will come and see Caliana (our daughter) for like an hour every once in a while. Then he says he'll come and take her for the weekend and he'll call me before he comes and gets her. He never calls. A week later he'll call and say something came up. So I told him to forget it, and that if he's gonna keep doin this he doesn't need to see her. So I told him to call me when he's ready to take care of OUR kid. He got mad and left. I feel kinda bad that I'm not letting him see his daugther but do you think it was the right thing to do? If not, then what should I do?

You are trapped at home with 3 kids under 2, they've screamed all day, all you've said all day is "stop pushing your brother, Get down from there, what's in your mouth? don't do that, stop throwing your food..."
I think they are trying to kill me.
Daddy works 14 hours a day and very rarly can I find someone to help me.
Sometimes I just want to run away.
I'm loosing my mind.

My daughter will be 3 in december. she has been in speach therapy since she was one. we started the speach in arkansas and now we're with new people in new mexico. my daughter is doing pretty good so far, but all of a sudden they want her to see an occupational therapist. at first i was ok with that, but then i look it up and it says its for children with severe delays. which is insane, the only thing my daughter doesn't do is talk. she has no mental problems. and the people in arkansas said she didn't need anything except the speech. this has me completely stressed out. i would like to know how other parents with children in speach handle the stress. and if you would tell the new speach therapist "no" if you didn't think your child needed this.

I don't know what to do. My 7 1/2 month old will not go to sleep on her own, I was rocking her to sleep (I know it's not the best method) she would stay asleep through the night, but recently I switched her from breast to bottle, now she won't sleep propertly. As soon as she is appears to be sleeping I put her down in her crib to bed and almost instantly she wakes up and will cry until I pick her back up, I tryed to let her cry but she won't fall asleep. I give in and rock her but she does the same thing again in total she stays up an extra 4 to 5 hours after her bed time what can I do? How can I get her to sleep without rocking her?

Okay, paternity has been established and I have the results so I know it's him. I have his full name, his birthdate and his social security number. I tried at his last known address, but he's no where to be found. The Child Support Agency can't find him either. Is there any type of site where I can put in his SS# and search and find him through his employer? If not, how do you suppose I go about it? Also, I have already looked on the sites where you just type in general info and they look it up- the problem is, I don't think he would have a house phone or other bills in his name, so what should I do?

There is a female that lives in Mississippi. She is a young girl, i think that she is 18 or so. She allowed a boy that she had only known for three weeks to beat her child. Now the little boy is dead from being beat in the liver. She was no where around, but don't you think that she should be held accountable for allowing this to go on?

8 yr old son ever since age 5 cannot sit still, has to constantly move around and has problems listening to anyone who is not his father, I have had him tested for every "disability" known to me, and have had him in counseling for 2 yr (every dr, counsler, etc tells me this is normal, he will grow out of it and that he has no "disibilities)..problem is the teachers at school are fed up with him and are threatening me with Child Protective Services, I have done everything I can and am at a lost as to what to do next....I am looking for help with this problem, what can I do next?

My wife is 24, she went to college and has a great job in accounting with great benefits and good pay.

She has been working since she was 15 and working full time since she was 18 and building a career.

She really loves the company she works for and has no desire to gain a high paying job that includes a lot of stress.

She told me that she likes her position and doesn’t want a job where she has to work more than 40 hours a week or stress over.

We bought a home and live a comfortable life and she says she is okay with having a moderate career.

My wife said she wants to have a family soon and doesn’t care about being high up in a company.

She doesn’t want to be too involved in her career and would rather focus most of her attention to our marriage and family.

Do people look down on women who don’t want to move up in their career and focus on their family instead?

My husband and I found my 15 year old step daughters notes. Her bf is pressuring her in each note to find a way to come over, he has the condoms, etc. Or will she at least "blow" him........ He gives her advise on what to say to us and her mom....etc. We also know from the notes she has been lying to us telling us she had practice and didn't and has been staying afterschool with him. He is a pretty bad kid -- ISS twice this year, etc. I have had suspicisions for a while, buy hubby has been oblivious and wanted to trust his daughter. We don't now how to confront her. Do we disclose or note reading? We have also gotten some info from her myspace. This is against our beliefs and wishes for her.........AHHHHHH! HELP!!

As my 17 year old son was growing up, everyone always said he has his momma's eyes, and his daddy's cocaine addiction. Well anyway, he is going in for a job interview and he's worried about the drug test. Someone we know told us that if he drops some LSD just before taking the blood test, that it will clear up the coke from his blood so he can get the job. Has anyone else ever heard of this?
