Couldn't agree more. There aren't much worse things you can do in life then to hurt an Innocent child. I say they can all go burn in ... Any father who would NOT do the same should be the ones to be punished.

Wow, do I ever agree with you. I was molested as a child. It went on for 7 yrs. The bastard was never punished as he's a deacon of the church, was a boy scout leader, etc. My parents had died, and these people were foster "parents". It happened years ago, so they never believed me. Thank God it's more open, and kids are believed. I know if anyone touched one of my girls, they'd be history. I know I wouldn't be able to stop, but you're right, I'd be the one getting punished for some dick hurting my child. It makes NO sense. I wish this country would stop kissing the criminals butt, and really punish them as needed. ~~~

I can't say that I would react the way that I should if this situation occured. I would probably want to beat that man to death for stealing my child's innocence, and being depraved! The problem is the law looks at it like this: The man (molester) would have been punished under the Federal government and that should have been enough for the father... I still don't agree with it though

First of all, he hasn't been sentenced yet. It's possible he won't serve any jail time. I hope he doesn't.
Second, they had to charge him with something. I'm amused. They got him for "criminally negligent homicide". In NY, that means that he basically "accidentally" contributed to the man's death because he didn't know that what he was doing might kill the guy.
Uh-huh. I could see it if maybe he'd just punched the guy, and, whoops, he hit the door and died. But, the story states he then went on to punch the living hell out of the guy. Good for him!!! But, he's getting off easy...and I'm sure the police/prosecuter/etc. are all kind of winking at him.

Do you know the ratio of falsley accused and consrtuded accusations, to that of genuine cases?
I expect, i could convince your kid, someone i didnt like, touched them, a **** like you would kill them...and do the time?
Think before you open your mouth. There are problems with this sort of thing, perversly, twats like you like to talk about it a lot.
Your not the law, and its mob mentality twats like you, who are the problem today...what of muggers, kill them too? i know you would, but then, you start making the descisions.....and then its just people You dont like....who dont vote the same?
Oh, and the other thing, with your concept of bypassing the law, and pub chat with your mates, i'd do this and that, etc...what when you turn up to linch, expecting an 80yr old "victim" for your violence, and its a big pedo body biulder, with a machine gun, who says so what? Him and his biker pedo gang, all with shotguns....Do you fight? or call the police? What of you vigilantism then?
Note the first answer,"i havent read the story, but i completly agree"....i havent either, so i dont know if there was a bit,"he was innocent"? THATS how dangerous Your mentality is! (please note this is nothing to do with pro pedo!!) Its the linch mentality, at fault.

I agree, I am not sure what I would do if someone hurt one of my children, and I am certain that my husband would DO something about it! Our children mean the world to us, and if either one of us thought that someone had done them harm, that person had better start running! Unfortunately, we live in a world where people can sue you for getting hurt breaking into YOUR house. It is screwed up, but I'm still going to protect my child!

I know this was hard on the father, but he was most willing to take the punishment for protecting his child,or any other child the pervert may have or tried to molest. The father will spend time in jail for manslaughter, but he will see his family again. I'm sorry, but I don't fell sorry for the molester!. He got what he deserved. People who molest children, should either be dead or locked up,period!.

Because we have laws in this country and the father should have left the fate of the molester to the court system. Instead the father committed murder and will be imprisioned leaving his child minus a father.

The problem is that the person may not have been guilty, and,
because he is now dead he can not be tried
so dad got 3 to 5, he will be out on parole in 6 months
I am sure he will feel it was woth it to protect his child!

I agree 100 percent but the law is the law. I am prepaired to do jail time if I ever find out anyone has in any way done that to any of my girls. But the law says you can't do that, and while the cops may agree with the father, and the judge may give him a light sentence, the law is the law.

I'm also concerned about parents who are teaching their children that the answers to their complaints, fury and gripes (no matter how valid) is through violence and by ignoring the American justice system.

The molester should go to prison.

As awful as I think child molestation is, I personally don't think it's worse than murder.

And I think it's a terrible lesson to teach a child.
