concerning the child support that he gave her for their two children together but after we were married and I became pregnant she filed a petition with the courts and now his support trippled. Three years have passed and with all of the support that he pays it has left us in a terrible position. She will not allow him to see his children anymore and with the large amount that he shells out to her every week it has left us in a financial bind to the point were I have considered walking away from the relationship. Does anyone know the legalities of modefications and more importantly visitation rights? We both love the children and we need a resolution. Please help!

I am not a parent, but this topic came up on another site that I go to on occasion and I am just curious about what some parents think about it. Would you use this as a consequence for your child? Have you ever used it? Why do you think it is acceptable or unacceptable?

Its been a long time debate ever since we found out our 13 year old neighbor was having sex with a sailor. Many people seem to believe the best idea would be to simply put her on birth control. I dont honestly know how i would go about it but submitting doesnt seem like the right choice.

Give me the step by step psychology I am to use on my future 4 year old girl that is acting up in the store. I want to understand how to do what is proper and accepted, and not swat her bum for misdeeds in public like I have done my now well-behaved, 6 year old, who never acts up in the stores. Please enlighten me, so that I may see the light. Thanks. Wasn't aware a 5 year old and under could reason and respond to psychology, but I see the more enlightened parents here are hoarding the Force for themselves. Teach me the way, so that I too, may acquire the Force.

I have worked seven days in a row... I have a chance to work tomorrow, but then I won't have another day off until next Sunday... should I work? I am a single mother with two young children to support so the money would be nice, but then again they are starting to resent all the time I spend at work. Please help as I can't seem to make up my mind.

weeks pregnant. growing up mom was an alcoholic and couldn't support herself. Eventually I let her move in with us. I live in a three bedroom house and she had her own room for a while. Now we made her room the nursery and put a little cot bed in there for her to sleep on. Now she helps me out with watching my daughter and helping with daycare kids. She doesn't work outside the home. Here is what shes doing: if my husband and i have a spat she makes little comments about it to egg me on to continue to be mad...She tries to parent my daughter...She doens't igknowledge being a mad mom. She will feed her when she wants...she will put her too bed before I even have a chance to. She acts like shes running her. ANd recently shes been making comments about having to get up with the baby because her beds in the nursery. She will also say things like I won't be puttin ghte baby in the crib that way. Like she is going to parent this one too. What do I do? She is driving me crazy?

Thought you parents out there might like this one.

One evening during a violent storm, a mother was putting her son to bed. With a trembling voice he asked if she would sleep with him. She told him she could not because she had to sleep with daddy. A long silence was broken by his shaking little voice, "The big sissy."

HA HA HA. Thought it was so cute.

I am starting a parent coaching business (sort of like the Supernanny off camera) and need some ideas for a phrase for my business cards. I've asked this question before and I am now even more confused! Here are some ideas.

"Helping you to be the best parent you can be"

"When parents need a little more"

"The helping hand that you've be wishing for"

Do you like any of these? Any other ideas? Thanks for your help and input!
