I have worked seven days in a row... I have a chance to work tomorrow, but then I won't have another day off until next Sunday... should I work? I am a single mother with two young children to support so the money would be nice, but then again they are starting to resent all the time I spend at work. Please help as I can't seem to make up my mind.

I've done that before. The longest stretch I ever went without a day off was 20 days. I took a Sunday off and went back to work for another 6 days until I made myself sick. I was sick for about two weeks. I couldn't recover because I kept going back to work.

For your sake and your family's sake take the day off.

You say the money would be nice but how are you going to feel when your kids are older and you don't really know them. I understand its hard but the memories with them are going to priceless and irreplaceable.

It's great that you are willing to support your kids! You will regret it if all you do is work and never take the time to spend a little "time" with your kids. They miss you already and it is only 1 day. The money is already coming in and unless it makes the difference between paying your bills by that amount that particular day, them you deserve to take the day off and spend it with your kids. I know I've got 4!! If you can make ends meet by missing this one day of work then take this opportunity to spend quality time with your family.

Work is great and all, but you need to protect yourself from burnout. Working for two weeks straight isn't a good way to do that. Why not take tomorrow off and then go in for the rest of the week? It's one day, you can spend it all with your kids, and then be ready to go back to work on Tuesday. It's just a thought. =)

Pay your bills, or stay home? You have to work on Labor Day?? I am only off cause I work in a doctors office and were closed for that day. I think by reading what you typed your leaning towards wanting to stay home, lol. Do what you want.

Take a day off. Your children need you more than money (assuming you have enough to get by!)
