Pampers are the best. And you can't let them go longer, if you do you'll end up giving them a rash. Just stop and change the child it only takes a couple minutes and will save a lot of crying from diaper rash.
we tried several types and there are some good ones, but pampers still win...also don't forget to take extra cream and wipes!

Any good quality diaper will do for a road trip.
Plastic pants won't make any diaper hold more, it just helps keep leaks under control but doesn't stop them.
Why would you want to make a diaper last longer anyway? The long a diaper stays on when it has been used, the worse it is for your child. Do you want your child to be uncomfortable for the whole drive? Just change the diapers when they need to be changed and dispose of them when you get to the next rest stop or gas station.
It seems to me that you would want to change them more often not less frequently. The more often you change them the more comfortable and happier your child will be, and happy is a good thing on a long road trip.
Good luck.

It's best to just stop for a few minutes and change the kid's diaper. Otherwise the poor thing will end up with a NASTY diaper rash. You wouldn't want a diaper rash, so why would you put your child in the conditions to get one? Taking a few minutes every time the kid needs a diaper change isn't going to significantly increase your travel time. Besides, your child is more important than making good time.

Huggies are the best diaper I have found. You really can't let them go though. Stop and change your child when need be. If you let them go to long they will get diaper rash and that wont make anything fun. You can prolong changing a diaper by using a thick diaper cream. I would use Desitin. It is thick and stay where you put it. It is kinda hard to get off but it protects their butts really well. Don't go more than 2 hours before you change your little one though. Unless he or she is asleep.

Yes plastic pants will help the diaper hold more in case it leaks. I would wear 2 diapers and them plasic pants if I wear you. That way it can really hold a lot. Go to hdis you can order your diapers and plastic pants there

Stop and change the diaper. What the hell...? You wouldn't want to sit in that for longer would you. You should change the diaper ever 1 1/2 hours whether they went or not. I'm mean seriously. that's awful to do to a kid. They can't tell you they feel yucky, you have to know these things, you are the parent. Shame on you.

I'm not sure but make sure you stop ever 1-1 1/2 hours on roadtrips. People (especially children) need to get out and walk around at least every 1 or 1 1/2 hours because if not they could get blood clots from sitting too long. Make sure to stop at least ever hour and a half to walk around and use the restroom as well and that way you won't have to worry about diapers that hold more.

You should change the diaper at least every 2 hours regardless of what kind you use. Otherwise you are risking a bad rash for your baby.
How would you like to sit in your own pee/poop for more than 2 hours?

I use huggies and you can usually get about 4-5 hours out of them, but it's not good for baby's skin to leave it on longer than that- you'll just have to pull over and do a diaper change!

well, I guess if keeping all that against a baby's skin for long periods is not of concern(Rather then changing diaper) I would say a hefty bag, pull bag up just under child's chin, this should allow enough room to get just about any ware.
