I have a 12 year old now and I still apply moisturizing lotion on him head to toe daily for his skin to stay smooth.

Is 12 years of age too old for me to be applying lotion on him?

If your a mom like me what age did you stop applying lotion on your children, Thanks =)

he likes to just play and punch me . I try telling him to stop and it hurts and he just laughs. His daycare teachers say they have no problem with him wanting to fight kids at school. Any advice?

I didn't want my daughter to be as shy and withdrawn as me so I kind of did the opposite as my parents. Today she is the total opposite of how I was (except for values) and I'm very proud of her. She has lots of friends and lots of knowledge...I was very sheltered and had a hard time when I entered the real world.

This might be kinda long and I might have to add to it, but I wanted some input

My son is 2.5 yrs old, he's mildly autistic and all his friends parents know and so forth. Today we had to go to my sons little girlfriends birthday party. I got myself ready emotionally cause I know all the other kids will be playing with one another and talking it up but not my son, he'll run with them and or chase after them and then do his own thing.
Well my son and I were over at these monkey bar type climbing things, my son acted like he wanted to climb on them. So I helped him up and he was climbing it, I was behind him helping him and his little heart was just a racing! I was so proud of him and gave him lots of praise~
To us that is like climbing a mountain due to sensory issues. Well the birthday girls dad ( Who I dont like anyway ) was taking pictures of us and I was like that was great! He was like yeah " CINDY" ( his daughter ) she was doing that at one yrs old and now shes bored with

I'm 16 & I would like to graduate from highschool,go to college, get a career established & be financially stable, & by the time I am 25-26, if i am not married I would like to adopt a child. Preferrably Domestically but it really doesn't matter. I just love kids so much & have always wanted them & I know I am way to young to have children now but when i get older i would like to have children, either biologically or through adoption. Is that wrong at all to purposely be a single parent? I mean it would be much better if I were married, both finacnially & emotionally, but if that doesn't happen, I just really want to have kids so I would then adopt. I know it would be exspensive but I would sacrfice my wants & needs for my kids in a heart beat. I already kind of know what method of parenting i want to use &I love names & have a list of names tha ti love the most. Also when I get a job or maybe sooner i will put money back for the kids college exc. But I would liek more than 1 kid.

Looking at what happened in Missouri and St. Louis why are people so desparate to have children they're willing to kill another human being to get a child? What is this the 1800s? Do you REALLY need a child to survive in today's America unless you live in farm or in a very rural area of the country? This is absolutely insane!! Also is why is it women who always commit these crimes?

Their parents have all the answers, right? Got Dr.Sears on audiotape, his holy tomes of child rearing, and the complete and unabridged guide to parenting in the Serengeti, because you know we can't be trusted to make sound decisions in the modern world...

Anyways, after they've been breastfed for 4 years, worn in a sling dat and night until both mom and dad suffer from Cauda Equina Syndrome, ran the whole household unreigned since babyhood into teenager, never been told NO with any authority and conviction...much less taught right from wrong and respect for elders, and no home training whatsoever, well, what will come of these "perfectly parented" youth? I await with bated breath to see the outcome 16 years from now. I have a feeling these times are going to be looked at as the new "good ole days".

I'm not necessarily talking about a much needed asswhooping either, I'm talking about reprimanding a kid who needs to firmly be jolted back into reality for attempting to eat a piece of candy in the store, back talking, and horseplay that endangers others. Even most strict parents succumb to the Dr.Sears-ish status quo of punk'd parenting when in public. Where they would normally swat Jr.'s rear for almost knocking a grandmotherly lady down from horseplay, now she resorts to a "No, Tommy. No running get over here." Then the issue is forgotten, and on the spot punishment is no longer enforcable later on.

Why is this bogus crap so mainstream that it has otherwise discipline enforcing parents afraid to correct their kids? I'll admit, I have submitted to the bunny fluff before in public, but it was mainly because my son had pissed me off so bad from throwing a all out fit over some candy I said no to, that I knew I was going to catch evil eyes for spanking his tail.

Why?

Every few months or so my son (now 10) has a strange episode where he'll suddenly get a bad headache, go white as a sheet and cold and clammy, then throw up a couple of times. Then he'll fall asleep for a while and be back to normal when he wakes up.

This has been happening for at least the last five years, and I have spoken to doctors, who are not concerned. But I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this with their child?
