I believe that young children ask lots of questions for two reasons. First of all, they are like sponges, and just soak in lots of info. at this age. Second of all, I think they are learning about conversation. They ask a question, and they have your full attention and obtain an answer to their question. Sounds like engaging conversation to me. Talk to your children often, and remember to listen.....They just want to know that they are being heard.

They are curious and that's how they learn. Aren't you asking a question now? At that age kids think adults have all the answers and if you don't instead of panicking, be honest and promise to find the answer together. This gives you a chance to introduce them to the idea of finding answers for themselves without always relying on an available person to answer it for them. You can also introduce them to dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc.

Because that's how children learn > if you are asking because you have one I can honestly say try my mantra "a curious child is a smart child" this is how I get through those long days of " why mommy?" "how mommy ?" "where mommy?" "what mommy?"

You should be ecstatic that your kid whats to learn everything around them. How else did you think we found out everything about this world. Tell them (if you don't know) to ask their teacher!
