My kids have a habit of saying that they gotta pee really bad, but when they get to the bathroom, they don't go for a very long time. How do you tell if your child seriously has a full bladder? Are there any particular tell-tale signs?

It's a cliche but very true--mine literally dance around holding their crotches when they really really have to go. However, I do not advise making them wait till they get to that point, it's not worth the risk that they won't make it! What harm does it do for them to sit there fora while waiting for it to come? Unless you're in a hurry to get to school or something, I'm sure that would be frustrating in that case.

If they're doing the pee-pee dance then you know it's coming. My son would grab himself. Otherwise you should make them go about 45 minutes after drinking anyway just to try to avoid accidents.

They usually do "The Potty Dance". It is fairly comical!

mine danced around but like the others I don't recommend this just take them to resroom when they say and if you are upset around them when they are trying togo they may feel like they should try and hold it .

both of ours did the exact same thing-- said I have to potty while at the same time they grab themselves and it was true, they had to go and go now---
