Now 2 weeks later she is still there in bed with us. I tried moving her back to her own room the other night but my daughter absolutely freaked out about sleeping by herself. Is there any way I can gradually get her to go back to sleep in her own bed at night. New parents here needing some advice.

I have a very sweet 7 yr old son. He usually gets along well with other kids but he is a little bit quiet. I noticed that most of the boys his age are much bigger, much more aggressive, and he sometimes gets picked on. I don't think that there's ever anything very severe but he gets hurt very easily and the other boys see this so they pick on him even more. How can I help him to be able to stand up for himself. When boys have pushed him etc. I tell him he should push them back but he says he doesn't want to hurt anybody. He's a very loving child. I just don't want him to be a target. I can't confront parents everytime a little boy says a mean word to him or looks at him the wrong way but I need to teach him to stand up for himself. Any suggestions? He does play sports and that helps his confidence a little but need some more help.

My cute li'l cousin is 6 years old and is very rowdy and violent. He always kicks my nuts, wrestles, spits, headbutts, jumps on, throws hard things at me, insults, me and always beats me up whenever we baby sit him. And then he would easily cry on small things. But I'm usually ok with it since I know he is still young and is in that stage. But what really scared me is when we were at Costco and he was being his usual self and suddenly he turned to me seriously and said that "I like hurting people.. and I don't know why?".. his face was really serious, eyes were bulging, devilish look on his face, and he looked like the boy from omen. He scared the s h i t out of me that day. I thought he was possesed or something. I explained to him that it is wrong but he doesn't seem to listen and continues on doing it. Do you think my cousin is a making of a psycho serial killer or a masochistic person when he grows up or is it just normal for a young boy to be like that?

Does anyone have any suggestions what I should do for short term child care while my sitter takes maternity leave?

I don't have any family nearby that I would trust with my kids and I just moved to a new community a few months ago and don't know anyone. We only have two neighbors in our area and neither of them have children.

Also, it will be during the school year, so using a high school student will not work either.

Any suggestions would be most helpful. My kids will be 5 and 1 at the time.

last week i wrote about a 3 yr old that i have been watching for about 3 years. let me fill u in for those who did not read before.about 2 months ago she started to try to kiss my daughters with her tongue and lick on there ears ( my girls are 17 and 19) we thought it was nothing than about 2 weeks ago she came to my house from daycare on a tuesday and said she had looked at a little boys penis (she calls it teetee) i asked her who told her to do it and she said mommy. i didnt say no more for a couple of days and than asked her where it happend and stuff and than let her mom know. she went home on thursday evening and the next week on tuesday when i picked her up at daycare the teacher came out and said she asked 2 other little boys to look at there penis, they had let the mother know. so i talked to her told her that was ugley little girls dont do that ect. later that evening she asked my 13 yr to look at his penis right in front of me and my daughter. will finish ran out of space

My ex told me he would take me to court over our daughter if I ever get a new boyfriend. (We currently have no legal arrangement.) Meanwhile, he goes out and does whatever he wants, with whoever he wants, and it's ok. He says he he would do it because he wouldn't be able to handle me being with someone else. What do you think? ( I mean, other than the fact that I got involved with a total loser...)

Should parents:
1. Pay the whole thing
2. Make the kids pay half
3. pay some
4. Not pay for anything

We have 3 kids in college. We pay for their undergrad degree 100% (We pay for ALL their expenses during college but not their fun money - they must get a job for that)
Our oldest is now in grad school and he pays for that himself.
**We have 1 more to put through in a couple years!
