My mother and my wife's parents live in the same city. My wife doesn't want anyone helping her after the baby is born since her mother can't help anyways and my mom has been mean to her in the past.

Her parents will probably only stop by on the weekend for a few hours, and we are happy with this since its not too much and we like them.

But we really don't want my mom over more than 2 hours a week tops. She has already talked about how she plans to stop by every other day for hours and even wants to rearrange her work schedule.

My wife was horrified, and I was not happy about this.

How do I explain to her we only want her over 2 hours a week? This is her 1st grandbaby and I know she is over excited but she is stressful to be around.

HELP!!

My mother is Catholic and raised me that way, but I don't identify with the Catholic religion nor do I practice any religion. My wife is not religious either.

We have decided not to baptize our child, maybe one day in the far future, but as of right now we never plan to baptize our baby.

My mother is pissed. She wants all my babies to be raised Catholic since that is her "famiyl way" and I am an only child so my children are her only grandchildren.

How do I get her to back off, the topic is NEVER open for discussion. She had her choice of religion for her child and now I have the choice too.

Any advice?

We need to tell this girls to stop listening to these boys when they want to have sex with them, or asking them to have their baby's, and start showin them what women bodies truly look like after they have baby's. It'll never be the same again. ha ha ha ha!!!! Foreal though. I bet they'll retort, once they find out how evil the men are for doin such a thing. ha ha ha. Post what u think.

EVEN THOUGH WE ALL KNOW THEY WON'T LISTEN, IT'LL NEVER HAPPEN TO THEM. .......RIGHT????

It seems like the majority of people are too stupid to be allowed to reproduce. Anyone agree?

I am happy, 'cause believe it or not I wanted another child sooner than later, but now that I am actually pregnant I am concerned a little bit , for my own health and the baby to be, because I guess it would be hard to being pregnant and take care of a newborn at the sametime, plus I don't even know how to tell my mom about it, 'cause she is very the "Preaching" type, I know my husband is OK with it which is the most important thing, but my mom is my family also, any suggestion of what should I do?

What do you think of that name?
It could be one first name. It could be first and middle.
Anything you would change etc.

Should those advocating absteinance be banned from complaining about pornography, strippers, exotic dancers, sex toys like didos and vibrators etc. As surely thats why you tell someone to abstain as you want them intro that and not sexaul relationships with real people instead.

If nobody had to abstain from early teeange onwards and had a good sex life then there would be little need for the above.

You can't expect to repress people and expect them to have no release for the frustration...

What do you think the abstaining would do? play tiddlyinks?

The new NEA proposal essentially says public schools will support and actively promote homosexual marriage in their local school systems.

Some girl whos 26 old whos got a 9 yr old kid, still lives with mum and dad, and seems happy for mum and dad to look after the grandchild whilst she can go out and have irresponsible fun. Shes never with the child. The child is always with nana and granddad. I cant quite understand these type of people as they clearly wanted the child yet is not prepared to look after the child as a normal parent would do. What makes it right?

I have a daughter with a former boyfriend who only shows and interest in his daughter when he is bored and doesn't have a romantic interest in his life. When he does have a girlfriend, he acts resentful towards our daughter. He does take her on the days that I work--but wants me to pick her up as soon as feasibly possible. He often leaves her in his mother's care while he is going somwhere (which is every single day)--or whenever he is on his computer. Up until recently, she has been a daddy's girl... used to ask for him and become upset whenever he left. Now his absense doesn't phase her. She is young enough to not remember her father--at least not how is has been acting towards her. I've been considering taking her out of that situation now instead of waiting until she is older and he breaks her heart with his behavior.

She is 2 years old and loves to play in the shower and tub... Since she was an infant she I have given her showers with me.. Now she cries if she cant get in the shower when I try to take one...I try to keep my back to her now that she is getting older and she has never asked (what is that) yet and I hope she never does.. How do I break her of this without hurting her feelings... Like I said, I cant take one without her crying to get in, she just like to play with her Dora toys in the water.......

I can't claim innocence, in my younger days, I smoked pot, my neighbor however, was asked to do no drugs or drink alcohol while my children were in her care ( this should be asked of ANYONE who has children and is trusting them with someone else! It's just plain common sense! ) She gave me her word. We had a falling out due to some pretty serious lies she had been spreading in out neighborhood, not just about me, but numerous people in the neighborhood. So I pulled my kids out of her care, and found them another place ASAP. One of my 6 yr old twins, tells me the other night that this neighbor told him what weed was and showed him how to smoke it out of "her glass thing that makes bubbles" I put off calling the police, but did eventually, i also filed a complaint with Department of Family Services. The landlord and 3 other people found paraphanelia in her home and she has yet to be evicted ( this is going on almost a month now )

One doctor said it is because she is pigeon toed, and the other says that he doesn't know what it is. Her bones look okay, nothing came up on the x-ray. He said to come back in 3 weeks to see if it is still hurting. I am thinking it's some kind of injury or infection. She has complete range of motion and doesn't have any redness only a little bit of swelling in the arch of her foot. She complains of pain on the heel, the arch, and the back of her foot a little bit. I am about ready to take her to another specialist and run more tests. She is a healthy active 7 year old child. This is only in her left foot, her right foot is fine.

I only got 4 answers for my question about the bahammas cruise so i am going to post it again. I am taking a first time cruise with my dad and my daughter who is 8 on the carnival sensation ship. I am so prone to motion sickness but was told to get drammine and use patches on my arm for motion sickness, Will it really work? that is the one thing that im worrying about, getting really motion sickness on the ship but i am doing this for my dad as my mom dies suddenly jan 29, 2006 and i realize time is so precious now. I am leaving my baby son who is almost 5 months old with his dad while i cruise and i was told you can only use your cell phone in the bahammas...if you are lucky...you will have no signal on the cruise ship. is this correct? That would suck as i would want connact to see how my son is.

We have tried everything! We've used time out, taken away special outings, toys, TV or game priveledges. His father is old-school, so we've even used spanking when appropriate. Nothing seems to get to him! He just stares at us and smiles. He's been spitting in people's faces in daycare, and he's done it to his mother and I as well (i'm step-mom). We're all at wits end with this boy and don't know what to do! Has anyone else been through this?
