Here's the list that I would buy: a crib, crib accessories including mobile, car seat, stroller, play pen, baby einstein series of videos, vibrant colored toys, diapers (check her weight), baby wipes, baby shampoo and lotion, baby tub that can also be used as a seat in the tub as she gets older, bottles and liners, formula, teething rings, pacifiers, bibs, onesies, socks, baby blankets, baby washclothes, a hooded baby towel, baby genie, cloth diapers (to use as burp clothes and for occassional accidents), diaper bag (you'll find that it will double as a purse as well), some cute little clothes (for a 4 month old, I would buy clothing in size 6 months), thermometer for babies (ear therm are popular now, but you can also use a digital therm and place it under her arm, just remember to add a degree), infant gas drops (mylecon or store brand), infant tylenol, changing table or dresser to use as a changing table (most items can be stored out of sight til you need them), the book "Babies First Year" (it tells you things you can expect and gives advice to help you), I personally loved the closet bins that I had (I could sort clothes, especially since the clothes are so tiny, and the drawers were wonderful for blankets and books), picture books, toys that make noise (but not loud). MOST of these things can be found at consignment shops, thrift stores, etc. This is a pretty good list to start with, there are several websites you can visit www.parenting.com and www.americanbaby.com are very helpful and popular. The most important thing isn't anything you can buy, you already have it-UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. I hope this helps! Good Luck!

First thing you should do is find out what milk formula she's been eating. Changing it now might cause her to not eat for a while. Next buy 4 - 6 month-old baby clothes, they grow pretty fast when your not looking. Educational CD's like lullaby's that sing the numbers and/or A B C's and video to just play as background noise such as Baby Einstein's ( the best in child education, I think), it's never too early to start learning. This should keep you busy for about two months tops. Have fun!!

Congratulations, that's great.
The easiest thing to do is go to babies r us and get the list they give to the parents when they register for things and use that as your base. Of course you can ask them if you are not sure of something, don;t be embarrassed every new parent need help whether you adopt or physically have WE ALL NEED HELP. And if you have a friend or relative that has kids ask them, they know. Also remember just like every adult is different, every baby is different , so try not to but to much of the same thing right off the bat because you won't know if that will work for your daughter, go slow and remember that you have time. And adjust when you need to. The MOST important thing is to make sure that you trust YOURSELF because God knew what he was doing and that is your child your instincts will kick in.
All the best of luck

Diapers, wipes, teething tablet, baby toys, blankets
crib, crib sheets, clothes...teething tablets, children's fever reducer...car seat , pack n play, high chair diapers and more diapers and wipes, and headache meds for yourself lol
There are many things you will need if you are adopting a child.
Good luck
Maybe you should check out A Gerber web page they may have a list of things that you may need.
Use common sense : Not everyone is perfect and after you have the baby home you will see you forgot a few things and may need to go to the store.

The main things you will need are:
bottles, pacifiers, baby wipes, diapers, formula, rash ointment(A&D ointment is the best), Baby shampoo & soap, Baby lotion, A car seat/carrier, and blankets.
And I recommend you get alot of onesies and buy some baby tylenol and baby orajel, just in case she's teething. My kids teethed pretty early.
Other things that would be great to get are:
A baby swing(Graco 3 speed battery operated swing is great)
A bouncy seat (My kids loved it)
Plenty of toys that are safe for her to chew on.
And you may want a stroller, and a carrier, the kind that holds the baby against you chest.
Good luck, it's great that you adopted.

omg you need everything. you need just what you would if you had her. i can't beleive that someone would adopt without looking into or having all this on hand already. i could see if you were pregnant and caught off gaurd only you have choosen to know that you were gonna adopt. how do you honestly think that any birth parent would feel if they came to check out a nurserya nd there isn't one. i have give 2 kids up for adoption and if i did a home visit i wouldn't allow them to have my children if they had zilch of anything. you must be prepared before you adopted. even if your just thinking about it. geez

Dont buy too much until you are sure the real babies mom wont take the child back. Buy clothes (PJs, diapers, dressy clothes and play clothes). Also you need a changing table and a crib. Also you need baby formula, find a peditrician and ask what baby formula to buy for your baby.
