My daughters are 18 & 22. I love spending time with them, but don't want to crowd them. Has anyone got any ideas for a good way to redirect my parenting instincts a bit to account for the fact they're not "kids" anymore? I keep having to stop myself from giving them advice like they're still 12 years old.

I have a step daughter who does not want to live with her mother but has little respect for her father. It makes me mad because he will tell her to do something and she will say no. She is very lazy, unhappy, rude, mean and evil acting. It's hard for me because I was brought up in a house of yes mam no sir. To have a child tell her father" whatever get out of my room, mine your own business". Or she will just say rude things ex. "Like don't touch me" if he tries to get a hug, get out my room and slam the door in his face, demand things and he will do it, but the day before she threw the phone to him is disstressing. I want her to go live with her mother. Because she wont dare try that with her because she wont put up with it. How do I get her to want to live with her mother?

He broke up with me when he found out I was pregnant with his baby. He said that it was because I never talk to him or his family. I think about him all the time. I wonder what he is doing and who he is doing it with. I want him back, and I will do anything to get him back. Recently I found out that he was engaged to this girl and he acts like he loves her. Please help me before they get married.

Myself I just accepted the fact and insured they had access to the birth control of their choice, offered to pay for it and pretty much left them be after letting them know they could come to me with ?'s or talk to their doctor, Planned Parenthood. Just wanted to know if others realized it as a fact of life and did not overreact and accepted it as a part of them being young adults. My oldest daughters 1re 19 & 21 and my oldest had my first grandchild at 20, so despite boths sexual encounters in High School I feel my approach worked well as I could have become a grandpa much earlier.

I have 4 children a boy 21 and 3 girls, 16, 10, and 7. This is a very touchy subject for me. Because i love all my children and also love my mother/ their grandma with all my heart. Grandma is 53 years old. She worked hard for many years and has recently received diability for bad hips knees and arthritis. She is on lots of pain pills which i think cause her to be moody but she says its just because she doesnt feel good. One minute she is as kind as can be and the next, watch out. She might call you bad names or get in your face and wanna fight with you. She says she is sorry and this only happens because she doesnt feel good. I think maybe she has a bipolar disorder going on but she says NO! Any way the 2 oldest kids dont want to visit because of this, and the younger ones are starting to feel the same. She feels so bad beause they dont want to stop and visit. Should i tell my kids to go anyway or let them do as they feel comfortable with? I undersatnd their side as well as hers.

When she cries he calls her instead of me! They tell me a baby can't raise a baby but they should have told me that before i had her and if i would have known they were sgoing to act like this then i would have given her up for adoption! they say i don't know how to raise her and they raised me so they know everything!!! I say there are alot of people who don't know how to raise a baby, young or old, but they still do it!!! please help me!!!
