How old is the son? if he is living at home and is 18 or under...maybe even 19 then the answer is "A" and good for the mom.

if he's 20, 30, 45 etc....and a typically developing adult with no mental challenges then Romy has a real control problem

She is showing concern for her son. Trust in her son that he will do as expected. And teaching her son the rewards for being responsoble by given him a chance that if he does as he is expected, he will be allowed his freedom to go out on his own again. So, where does that fit in your limited selection.
