In addition to the employees that will already be there, you may want to add more adults to help keep an eye on the kids depending on how many kids you are having..
Five year olds don't need much to have something big done, It seems that they are happy with the smallest things in life....Even if you were to just have a pool party at home with water balloons and games...Even though it would be fun.
I would have a birthday party at a water park, but I would not rent the whole park out- expensive...But that is just me.
Have fun and try to make it as stress-free as you possible can.

I think this might be a little over the top for five! Most kids that young aren't very good swimmers, so you may want to wait a few years. I work in hospitality, so I have a suggestion. Rent a suite, or maybe even two suites, and have a big party! Take advantage of the pool, and room service. Make sure you stay where they have a restaurant. You can rent one of their conference/banquet rooms, and most don't charge you for the room, as long as you get it catered. At five, they usually don't have much pride, but in a few years he can say my mom rented out the whole water park just for us! I'm sure you won't teach him to be selfish, but isn't it human nature? Whatever you decide to do, have fun with it! Good luck to you, and I hope your son has a wonderful birthday.

Absolutely! What a great day he will have. We have a boy turning three in July and are due with our second two weeks later. We are taking him to the zoo for the day. A little more toned down due to pregnancy, but in a year or two, we will be hitting Disney and the Water Parks for sure!

Sounds a bit much to rent the whole place out. You could just have everyone meet at a nearby pool or something. Or get a slip n slide. He's 5. He probaby won't remember it.

My oldest son is 8 and we have been takinghim to the water park every year since he was five for his birthday's. His birthday is August 1 so it lands at the perfect time!

Yes. I would just make sure that the parents understand that they are in charge of their child's safety as you cannot watch all the kids. Another option you may want to consider if Minature Golf.

I don't see why not as long as you know and invite enough people to join in on all the fun with him too.
