Hey, I wrote a question yesterday. I gave birth three months ago, and since then I have had really low iron levels in my blood. I just started working about a month ago, and my life is really rough right now. I am 19 years old. My mom was helping me with everything and she just got up and left because she met someone. I am married and my husband doesn't work because where I live day care for the baby is 250 a week!! I can make more than him by like 3 dollars and I love to work. But I am anemic and I passed out three times last week, and I am still bleeding and leaking out of my boobs... My body is so weak and I really can't eat anymore. I don't have money to really eat but I have everything for my daughter, but we signed up for food stamps they dont work til friday and I also have post partum depression... I have meds for that, but when I asked to go see my doctors they told me it wasn't an emergancy to come in. My job said they will fire me if I miss any more time when I am sick and

Is it possible to get a baby to wear a hat. I have all kinds of cute hats, but my baby takes them off, even the ones that tie under their chins! I don't want her to wear it all day, just for an hour or so!

My sister became pregnant out of wedlock. The father of the baby is bipolar and a chronic drug user. He has somehow managed to scrounge up enough money for an attorney. This guy is trying to force my sister to change the baby's last name to his last name. Does he have a case here? He says if he pays child support, that my sister HAS to give the baby his last name.

Please, only serious, knowledgeable replies.Thank you!

I have had to supplement since my baby was born. I had an emergency c-section (not sure if this had anything to do with it) but it took my milk almost 2 full weeks to come in and even then it was never enough to satisfy her. I was very emotional at first in having to give formula but have come to terms, especially since my daughter lost almost a pound the first week due to not knowing she wasn't getting enough. She has begun to prefer the bottle, making it extremely difficult to breastfeed unless she is very tired or starts with a couple ounces of formula. Im fine with supplementation but at times when she goes to the breast she just screams. I want to give her the best and have tried to pump however am unsuccessful, getting from nothing to almost an ounce when my breasts are extremely full. I feel horrible, like I am doing something wrong and when I talk to friends who have lots of milk, can pump 5 to 8 ounces, I feel very inferior and like Im failing as a mother. Any suggestions?

My son is 4 months old tomorrow. He normally naps bout 1-2 hours at a time about 3 times a day. he already had a 1 hour nap today. He was awake for a few hours but at 3:30pm he went down for a nap. It's now 7:30pm at night and he's STILL sleeping from the same nap. I even changed his diaper during this nap and he barely woke up. Is it bad for him to be napping this long? Should I wake him or continue to let him sleep?

My son is 1 month and 1 week old and for the past few weeks he has such bad gas. He pushes and pushes, his face turns red and he starts crying. I will take off his diaper and and pull his legs back and he lets it all release sometimes but it is so constant that I cant keep up with it or I will have his diaper off 24/7. I feel so bad for him. Last night he did not sleep AT ALL!! I mean he went on an 8 hour stretch and cried the whole time. Is this normal?? What can I do??

Because as far as I know the plastic piece and the sippy part are all one piece and water gets stuck in there... so how are you suppose to clean them.

I breastfeed my son during the day and give him formula at night. He is currently using a 4 oz. bottle. I was wondering when do I switch him to an 8oz. bottle?
[because my husband and I are going to our vacation home for a week, and I want to pack the right size bottles].
My son is almost 4 months old, and currently has 4oz of formula at night before bed [that keeps him through the night, then when he wakes up for his 6am feeding, I give him a 4oz. bottle of half breastmilk half formula]

**I don't want any arguments about, "why give him formula?" blah blah blah.
Because I gave him strictly breastmilk until he was 2 months old, now he gets both, and it works great!

Nazis killed a lot of people, right? Infant formula kills a lot of babies, right? So they call US nazis for promoting breastfeeding and trying to give moms the support they need to continue? Any thoughts?

I don't feel like cleaning today, so I'm here starting trouble. ;-)

i am trying to weigh out my options...i have severe panic attacks and have to be on some medicine. im taking vistaril right now but its not as good as zanex. i HAVE to have something or i can not make it. i work a full time job and dont have enough time to pump at work. she will have to start daycare at 6 weeks. i understand that breastmilk is what is best but i cant be on anything and feed her at the same time. i feel guilty for it, ecspecially when i have other mothers telling me that basicly it is what is best for her no matter what im going through.
could you tell me the pros and cons of breastfeeding and not breastfeeding

I just started work on Oct 1st and I have missed 5 days already beacuse of my illness. My insurance got canceled for a month, so I couldn't get any meds or see my doctors... so I tried to call them now because it is back and set up and now my doctors won't take me today because it is not an emergancy- so I am confused I know that I can't go to the hospital but I have to contact my insurance and let them know who my new doctor is before I can change! What can I do?? I am out of meds and I am about to lose my job because of my anemic... I can't be passing out really in training class... So i need some advice thanks
