I just wanted to now. Has anyone ever let another mother breast fed your baby? Or pump their milk and let your baby drink it? Is this considered normal?

My 5mth old has always been a 'chucker'. She throws up virtually all day and yesterday I counted 23 times. She doesnt cry about it but occassionally she will have an irregular breathing pattern and it sounds like air being forced through a tunnell. like a whistle sound. Im convinced this is linked with the spewing as she will chuck not long after. Does anyone else have these probs. Ive booked in with a peadiatrician but would like to know if anyone else out there has a similar situation.

i was just wondering how many parents will still be giving the kids cold medicine with all the news downing it. i have a 2 year old who just started getting cold symptoms today and im scared to give him anything to help him breathe. i have used dimatapp in the past, and at the right dosage that the doctor told me to use and it helps him to sleep during his naps and at night. he cant breathe well when he has a cold and so he doesnt sleep well without it. but at the same time im scared to give it to him! what do yall think?? would you still use it even if you havent had any problems in the past???

My friend's mother just lost her baby to SIDS last week. When we go to the funeral, what should I say? I'm afraid she's going to hear 'I'm so sorry' way too many times..

My daughter is generally a happy 5 month old.
Recently shes been a bit fussy with her feeds. Takes half the bottle and then screams like mad at the rest!
She has a good nightime routine. Goes in bath at 7, bottle at 7.30 bed by 8.
but shes now screaming her lungs out after bath!
im worried shes not taking enough milk but health visitor weighed her and shes still puttin on good weight.
why has she taken a sudden dislike to her bottles? could it b teething, ready for solids etc.
any info would be great!

Im a first time mom and have heard so many horror stories of babies dying of SIDS while sleeping on their tummies, but my son will only fall asleep on his own if hes' on his tummy. I cant afford an angel care pad to go under his crib so im constantly getting up to check to see that he is still breathing. He also wakes up ever 2 - 3 hours to eat. i dont agree with letting him cry himself to sleep but i feel as if im at the end of my rope with the lack of sleep i have been getting...any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

I like the idea of the car seat with base and matching stroller combo. But I realize after a little while, I will have to buy another car seat since the infant travel system combo is for babies up to 22lbs. I currently have a practically new stroller.

So I was wondering if I should get the combo or just make do with the stroller I have and buy a convertible car seat, that I can use well after the infant stage?

My son is 7 1/2 months and shows little to no intrest in crawling. He sits well alone and will sometimes go from a sitting position to lying on his stomach and occassionally try to push his legs up etc. Everyone is always asking me if he's crawling yet and acts crazy when I tell them he's not.

Also, sometimes I think he's saying "mama" but only when he's upset. Others always ask me if he is talking as well..do all children talk this early?

Other Mothers please helP??

My son is 4 months old. He has been exclusively breastfed since he was born. I do work part time (Tuesday-Thrusday from 7:00am until 3:30pm) He gets fed at 6:30 before I leave for work. He wakes up around 9am and the person watching him gives him some of my pumped breastmilk, but he only will take about 1oz or so. I come home on my break at 11:30 and nurse him for about 45 minutes until he falls asleep. On a normal day, he'll take about a 3 hour nap and by the time I get home from work (Around 3:45pm) he's hungry and ready to eat again. So I nurse him the rest of the day until he goes to bed. Occasionally he gets some rice cereal that's mixed with breatmilk (MAYBE 3 times a week and not in place of a nursing session). He was for a very short period of time getting one 3 oz, half and half (2 oz breast milk and 1 oz of formula) for maybe 3 weeks but then we stopped when we realized he was just as satisfied with the plain breastmilk. Does this mean I'm exclusively breastfeeding?

I feed him, then give him a bath, then give him a bottle to lay down with to fall asleep. but he always wakes up 2 or 3 times a night and everytime we wants a couple drinks out of his bottle. So i tired to let him cry and fall back asleep without his bottle, but i couldnt do it, i felt like i was a bad mom. and i know they say its ok to let them cry, so i did for like 20 min. and it didnt seem like he was going to fall asleep until he got what he wanted. so what do i do?

my daughter is 5 months and 1 week old. She has started wakening earlier and also ive resorted to having my tea at 9pm because when she smells food she wont take her next bottle.
She has always been fine at taking her bottle but now it seems she gets fed up.
Can i start giving her a bit of baby rice or porridge in the evenings?
My health visitor insists on 6 months but i thought every baby was different?
Are there any disadvantages or risks associated with feeding her now.
I dont want to wean her completely but would like to try her on a little in the evening and morning, nd still continue with her milk.
What do you think?

I stopped post-partum bleeding when my son was 5 weeks old. At 9 weeks post-partum I had a "mini" period. I lasted a few hours and was very light. At 13 weeks post partum I had another one but it lasted 8 days and was light on and off. Because I've had what I would call a period exactly every 4 weeks since I stopped post partum bleeding, does this mean I'm ovulating again? I've noticed ion between bleeding I've had about 5 days or so of slipperly, clear CM and then it stops and shortly after that I get a period....I'm assuming this means I am. But, the thing is I'm breastfeeding and I thought like 80% of women didn't ovulate during breastfeeding. Is this true and does it sound like I'm back on schedule? I

Ok I just had a baby 2months ago, recently made love for the 1st time with my hubby since baby arrived, a couple days ago I was looking at myself "down there" wondering what I look like now that I delivered a baby (which by the way was 100% natural) I see a little chunk of meat not sticking out but peeking out from my vagina starting at the top inside the opening, is this normal? I asked question about this yesterday and I was told it was some kind of uterine prolapse but nothing is hanging out its just a little piece of meat peeking......is this normal? Or am I still healing down there, I have very little hardly any pain/ache in my perineal area (where I got my stitches) but my main/most concern is the little piece/chunk of meat that is peeking out of there....it doesnt hurt or bother me...Answers please

The Walmart in my town has tons of 1st and 2nd, but only a few flavors in the 3rd foods. What's up with that?

Also can you feed a 10 month old baby the gerber finger foods if they have no teeth? It doesn't seem safe to me.
