It's baby acne. My baby has it, too.

Babies can experience a wide range of skin irritation as they get used to the dry environment and new exposures outside the womb. This is probably not acne, but may be any of a wide range of other conditions.
Here is a link to a Mayo Clinic guide to common baby rashes:
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/baby-rashes/FL00090
If you see something here which looks like his (or her) condition it may help to relieve your concerns - however it is never bad to check with a medical authority to be sure of a baby's safety. This could also be an allergic reaction to something like the detergent in your wash or a food allergy. I would say don't panic since these things are common but I am not a medical professional and I also think it doesn't hurt to have it looked at. If it lingers or worsens, definitely have it looked at by a medical professional.

This is called cradle cap. It is very normal and makes your sweet little baby look terrible just when you are ready to have first pictures made! (2nd time moms know you have to get pics done before they reach 4 weeks old to avoid this).
You actually do not have to do anything -- as the problem will go away on its own in a few weeks. BUT, it will help alleviate the problem if you take a soft toothbrush and babyoil and gently brush away. Cradle cap feels itchy to your baby so the soft brushing will feel good to him/her. Do this once a day at bathtime and your baby's cradle cap will stay to a minimum!

It might be a case of baby acne, my daughter go it and the doctor said it will go away by the time she is one, her skin is producing too much oil, he said if i wanted to control it I should wipe her face once every hour. She also could be allergic to regular baby wash, buy aveeno and only use that for a week and see if it gets better, whether its acne or an allergic reaction aveeno will help.

Seems like baby acne. It's common in most newborns anywhere from 2-6 weeks old. My son got baby acne and it's now clearing up and he's about 7 weeks old. Don't put anything on it accept for baby lotion... and it will eventually go away. If it looks bright red and itchy though, and seems to be bothering him, I'd give his pedi a call.

At 6 weeks old, my son had baby acne and it looked exactly as you describe it. I went to the doctor thinking it was a rash and was told that it was definately baby acne.

more than likely it is just acne but you can check with your doctor to be sure. Here's a rather disgusting home remedy for infant acne: let your baby pee in a cloth diaper and wash their face with it . The "old folks" swear by it. Gross!

As long as s/he is not running a fever it is most likely acne/heat rash. Nothing to worry about - my daughter had (really bad) from 3 weeks to about 7 weeks and then it went away. Sometimes when she gets really warm she has someheat rash flare-up but it goes away quickly. Nothing really to worry about.
Congrats on your little one.

Yeah, it isn't acne at all. At that age, the red bumps could be just from the milk he's drinking, or heat bumps. Be sure to check his temperture and talk to the pediatrician. Congrats by the way!

If the bumps seem like they are oozing it could be measles or a skin allergy. i would agree with other answer and SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. Yahoo isnt the source for medical help for a baby. kinda like when you call a number and it says if this is an emergency hang up and diall 911. Well, log off and call your DR.

Probably. A lot of babys have red "baby acne." It will probably dissapear as he gets older. It would be a good idea to ask your doctor at your next checkup, though.
