I've noticed that since I started adding some formula to my breastmilk she has been extremely gassy and fussy and miserable.. I called the Dr and they said to take a thermometer to the rectal area in which i tried and it worked the first time 4 days ago but wasn't working today.. Her stomach doesn't really seem hard to me.. Should I worry about this?

Hi everybody!

My husband is a scientist and has invented and patented a breast pump filter that attaches to pumps and takes out toxins and contaminants in breast milk when pumping. I have gotten mixed responses from people so I thought this might be a good forum to see what people think about it. We are 100% for breastfeeding but believe that when you need to pump, why not use a filter that can take out many of the contaminants that are in mother's breast milk? What do you think?

Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!!

My son was born with a small strawberry birth mark on his left shoulder blade. I pointed it out to his doctor, and she said it's common for them to get bigger, sometimes to the size of a quarter, but then disappear completely. I noticed in the 3 1/2 months since he's been born that it's gotten a little larger, but I wanted to know what it is exactly and how long it took your baby to outgrow it. Is there something I should put on it as a treatment or should I leave it alone? Also, this is kind of silly but would the stretching and moving he does with his arms stretch the skin and make it bigger? Thanks so much!

I was just curious as to when WIC stops giving you checks for formula? I think it is 6 months..Also, when can I stop using formula and start giving my baby regular cow's milk? She is 6 months old. My sister said that she started at 6 months, but I've heard a year..but my mom said when all 4 of us kids were babies, that she never even used formula and she fed us all evaporated milk.

With all the debates and confusion about vaccinations, why isn't something being changed...

I see something almost every week on the news..Larry King, CNN, 60 minutes, 20/20 about Vaccinations, so why aren't more parents paying attention..1 in 150 children are diagnosed with autism..also other things such as eczema and allergies have been thought to be resulted by having vaccinations..

My little girl will be 3 months on Friday, she sleeps so good in the bed with us, but I don't. I wake up all the time to make sure she is okay, and I sleep to uncomfortably making sure she is okay. My husband thinks that we are spoiling her by letting her sleep with us, and wants her in her crib at night. I can't handle the 'crying it out' I think she is too young, and it breaks my heart! My mother watches her during the day and says that she naps in the pack n play, but won't at home. What do I do? Help!

I have a 3 month old who has always fought to go to sleep. She wants her passi to sleep but of course won't hang onto it. She has that tongue thrust reflex and pushes it out. While she is napping during the day, and I can keep an eye on her, I fold up a burp cloth and wedge it next to her so she can spit the passi out. But at night, I don't do that, because I can't see her and I don't want her to cover her face with it. She moves around so much as she is trying to fall asleep that she pulls the passi out and I have to stand there next to her crib holding the passi until she falls asleep - sometimes and hour or more and at 2 in the morning it is exhausting. Sometimes I rock her to sleep, but she usually wakes up as I put her back in her crib and I am back to square one. Has anyone gone through this and might have any tips/suggestion/advice. Please help - I need sleep!!!!

i B.F. my little girl for 19 months, and my sister didn't and every one who asks alwways has a comment about what we did, or didn't do.
i was told that i B.F. for too long, and should have stopped after 6 months, and my sis was told that she didn't try hard enough with her bubba.
i've also noticed that a few of my friends are so worried about what others are thinking of them and how they feed their babies. do any other mothers feel this?
i know that there are two Q's in this but if you could answer hem it would be helpful.

Today me and my husband were getting ready to go out for dinner for my birthday. I guess he let my 3 month old lick his finger that had whip cream and frosting on it. Well later on about an hour he was screaming and crying for about 45 min. What will sugar do to a baby? Is that why he had such a bad stomach ache? I mean he didnt feed it to him he just let him lick his finger. And dont worry my husband got a mouthful from me!! Sometimes I dont know where his head is.He didnt know you cant give anything to babys like that. But does it give them back stomach aches. Hes already colicky.

And not preach to them all about breastfeeding.

We all know breast is best ,so here's the thing that is a little annoying .

When mom's on here ask questions about baby bottles, such as which are best and which one's did everyone use or which are good for colicy babies, it annoys the crap outta me that instead of just answering the question everyone is soo quick to preach to them about breastfeeding instead. Some women cant breast feed, some just dont want to . Formula works great , never been proven to be harmfull. So I guess im just trying to say that we should all just answer the question and not deviate from it. It just annoys me that instead of answering the question some people just say breast feed instead . They dont even bother answering the question. Im sure I'll get tons of answers saying I'm all kinds of bad words but I'm just commenting. Im sure other mom's out there get annoyed just as much as I do about this same problem
