If you are sure she's not jaundice (most hospitals check levels at birth) just allow her to sleep and eat on demand.

It can take two weeks for babies to recover from birth. Its hard on your body to squish a person out a tiny hole, imagine being that person being squished. Its hard on them.

So long as she wakes and eats until after your milk lets down she's fine. Each baby has their own routine.

She should be having atleast 6 wet diapers a day. 6 peepee diapers, and poops off and on. Although poops will taper off in a couple weeks, as breast fed babies tend to only poop every few days.

I have a ten month old and he was like that to. All the old ladies would tell me " never wake a sleeping baby" and all the doctors would say to make sure to wake the baby after 3 hours. I guess it depends on how much your baby has eaten already and just use your mothers intuition. However it won't kill your baby if you let it sleep. I am a firm believer that they know when they need to eat and sleep and they will let you know. Just let your baby guide you unless it is like really off.

Do not wake her up to feed, sleep while she is sleeping. My son would sleep for 6-7 hours at a time and I was worried sick about him at first, but the dr's said that it was normal so I slept ALOT then. So my adivise is to catch up on your sleep b/c when she gets older you will not be able to.

don't ever wake a sleeping baby... just feed her on demand for now. she is too young to worry about schedules. eventually she will fall into a pattern, but unless your doctor is telling you to wake her to eat cause she's losing weight, let her sleep. babies that little know when they are hungry... she'll tell you when she needs to eat. no worries!!

If you are breastfeeding let her feed on demand, you will find she will settle into a routine pretty quickly. Babies do most of their growing when they are asleep. Relax and enjoy the moment because in a year's time you'll be wishing she was asleep.

No dont wake her up. Let her sleep as long as she wants to. Babies are all different, so dont go by the book all the time. Your just one of the lucky ones! lol
