My 7 month old son is in the 5th percentile for weight. He slept through the night at 3 months, for about a month, and since then has been up for two night time feeds. Lately, he has been up about 5 times a night for the last month. Three times I manage to settle him without feeding, and the other two times I cannot so I resort to giving him a bottle and he takes 4-5 oz usually. Is this normal especially with his low weight? Or should I try to wean his nightime feeds as it seems to be turning into a habit and some days he doesn't eat as much as he should. If I should try to wean him, how do I do this. FYI, I don't believe in crying it out.

I am pregnant 33 weeks with our second baby (it's a boy!) We have a 2 yr old daughter already.
Would it be weird for me to give her breastmilk whilst I am feeding our son? I dont mean let her breastfeed ..I mean if I pumped and gave it to her in a glass (if she wanted it, of course) I was only able to breastfeed her for about 3 weeks due to health problems (that I hope I dont have this time).. I know she got the colstrum(sp?)..
I just think she might want to have some of the milk for the sake of being like her little brother... Is that wierd?

How soon after giving birth do you need to start using contraception? Im breastfeeding as well and i've been told this delays ovulation. I don't want another baby yet, but still undecided on long term contraception choice.

I am a stay at home mom, and spend 24/7 with my daughter. Very rarely do I get any time away from her. And due to car trouble we have been stuck in the house alot lately. (daddy has to take the good car to work) I don't know what to do. When my mom comes over to visit she freaks out, and is only happy if I am holding her. I know I need to socialize her more, but untill this car thing gets taken care of were stuck! I have been trying to let her play on her own a little more..... Help! Any advice would be appreciated!

By the way I am not complaining about being home with her, best (although hard at times) job in the world!

My daughter has had an awful few weeks, first the ear infection, and now gastro. She's had it since wednesday night (now sunday night), and it's not getting any better at all, in fact, it seems worse. She's had her poop samples sent off, and we're just waiting for some results. The poor girl can hardly keep anything down , and she's pooped every half an hour or so today. She is thirsty beyond belief as well. I'm so worried about her, what else can I do to help her?

My granddaughter is 5 months old and is breastfed. Her poo has never been solid--always watery and diarrhea like. Is this normal? Otherwise, she seems just fine.

My son is 21mo now but wasn't a very cute baby. At the time I thought he was beautiful. My son is adorable now and even cuter because he talks. I love my son to death but my new nephew is very cute already. I will always love my son more but I'm already obsessed with my nephew too. Of course he is my first nehew too. I fell guilty for thinking my nephew is cuter now then my son was when he was first born. My nephew was born on Thursday.

If he does not finish the entire bottle, how long can I save the remaining breastmilk?

Does it make a difference whether it was freshly expressed? Or refridgerator/frozen and then warmed up? How should it be stored if unfinished?

This may sound a bit crazy but it's worth a shot. My son is a little over 2 months old. I won't get into detail to make this as short as possible, but due to a traumatic delivery and lack of trying hard enough on my part, I did not establish breastfeeding when he was born. I pumped my milk for 2 or 3 weeks and then switched exclusively to formula. I VERY BADLY wish that I tried harder to nurse my son and just heard tonight that it's not unheard of to still breastfeed. However, I just tried pumping my breasts (I have a good medela pump) for a few minutes and nothing came out. Does this mean my milk is completley gone? Does it take a little while to get them stimulated and possibly get some milk back little by little or is it impossible? I know I'll need the help of an LC but just thought i'd ask if it's even possible first. ANY help or info would be greatly appreciated!

How many wet diapers should a 10 week old have in a 24 hour period? She is breastfed exclusively.

i am 4 weeks away from having my first baby...my boyfriend was supposed to move down to maryland with me since i found a great job down here but he is backing out now and found himself a new girlfriend. his mom and him are threatening to make me out to be this crazy ***** that should not have custody of my unborn baby girl and are saying they are goin to bring me to court to prove it...i have done some crazy things like check his voicemail, email and get in contact with his new girlfriend to let her know about me and the baby and let her know what i think about her...i meani know those are some crazy things to do but i am about to have a baby in a month and was just left and all my plans i had with him are gone...so i would like to think i am allowed to be a lil insane...anyways my question is what are his chances of gettin custody and what are some reasons the baby can be taken away from me? bc he seems to think he has a pretty strong case on me...and i am not sure as to why

I have been breastfeeding my son for 3 1/2 months and I just started experiencing tenderness in my left breast up by my armpit. I do not have a lump or redness and my nipples are fine. I lifted light weights the other day. Could I have strained something or do you think it is something else? Anyone have a similar feeling?

There's nothing wrong with it, but I want to give it a quick clean before I have my baby. I want to make sure I remove any dust or wood particle that is left on there.
