My son is 21mo now but wasn't a very cute baby. At the time I thought he was beautiful. My son is adorable now and even cuter because he talks. I love my son to death but my new nephew is very cute already. I will always love my son more but I'm already obsessed with my nephew too. Of course he is my first nehew too. I fell guilty for thinking my nephew is cuter now then my son was when he was first born. My nephew was born on Thursday.

I was very excited when my first nephews and nieces were born. It's perfectly normal and you needn't feel guilty. Enjoy this pleasure! Mom told me I was an ugly baby with a "butt head," but I look just fine now.
Beauty is relative, so do not fret that your nephew looks cuter than your son, who you'll get to watch grow into a beautiful child and adult. Your son will never know the difference. Keep the most flattering photo of him in your wallet for bragging rights.
This cycle of adoration will repeat itself when you have grandchildren!

Do not make your observance vocally. It would hurt your childs feelings if he ever found out. It would likely be something your nephew would tell him eventually if he or his parent's knew it.
It is very difficult for those of us who don't think that EVERY child is the cutest most adorable thing that was ever birthed. But the fact is that there are some UGLY babies out there. They are not all sweet, and cuddly. I don't feel guilty for thinking this either. I don't think every adult is nice looking, but I don't say it. I would never tell my husband or any other man (like one of my brother's) that I thought they were unattractive. (By the way, I do think they are all very nice looking) but I wouldn't tell them if I didn't because there is no sense in it. My son is extremely jealous if he thinks that I even remotely think another child is better at anything than he is. He would be devastated if he thought I believed another child was cuter. Don't beat yourself up over it. You love them both. It doesn't matter if you think one is cuter than the other.

No matter what you will always love your son but its only natural to look at everyone and judge there looks. Don't feel guilty about how you feel because if everyone was cute/the same then it would be a very boring world. What is cute to one is not always cute to another anyway. I'm sure your baby boy has a glowing personality that reflects you as a person and that will always be one up on looks.

The fact is that some babies are absolutely adorable, others are pretty neat to look at. Some babies are just amusing; but then there are those we'll just call "precious". You know which one yours is.
Hey, If your nephew is cuter than your baby then say so. Hug him kiss him, love him WITHOUT the GUILT.
Your baby may be "precious" but he's loved and hey, isn't that what matters?

I don't think it's a bad thing at all. If you think your nephew is cuter than your son, than he is cuter than your son! Simple as that. No reason to feel guilty, why should there be?

lol.....it's not wrong to think ur nephew's cuter, but at least ur son is also cute. It's just an appreciation of nature ,but as long as u take full care of ur son and stuff,then u got nothing to feel bad about.

Why are you having a guilt trip over that?
You are honest enough to recognise that one child is (in your opinion) cuter than another....fact of life that you cant change.
You love your son and are close to him. Thats all that counts.
BTW It might not be so kind if you were to tell your son though.

I agree that everybaby is cute...but i don't think that is bad. See if you can find features that your son & nephew have/had the same.

It's not bag to think that ur nephew is cute but just make sure that u don't give ur nephew more attention then ur son based on looks. looks aren't everything
