Its better if you don't use cradle because i started it when my baby was newborn now she's 13 mos still Dependant on it we are trying to change her habit and get rid of cradle... its very hard so don't use cradle so much sometimes is fine when the baby is really cranky.

You won't be near a cradle for the rest of the child's life- in fact they only fit in those things for a short amount of time. Use them while you have them, the child will not become spoiled and refuse to sleep later.

if a child learns to fall alseep under certain circumstances, then it will always have to fall asleep under those same circumstances. if you rock a baby to sleep, when they wake up in the middle of the night, they will need to be rocked again to get back to sleep. you will lose sleep every time so you can do the rocking. have a routine at bedtime, but not necessarily one that puts the child to sleep that they can't do themselves if they wake up. rock them a lot during the day, but be careful what habits you start at bedtime.

I always used a cradle or rocked him to sleep with me in a rocking chair. I guess that's why my son and I are close today.
