With my first daughter it was around 4 or 5 months. So I assumed it would be the same with my second. Then one day when she was barely 2 mo she rolled right off the bed, quick as a wink, during a diaper change. She was practically in the center of the bed, too! It about scared me out of my mind. From then on out, I just changed her diaper on the floor!

Although I have never heard of a baby doing this at only a few weeks, I would highly reccomend never leaving an infant at any age on a high surface without your hand on them at all times.

Congratulations!! If I remember well, My son start rolling over when he was about 5 months old. You have few more months to go and don't worry you will see how your baby grows. Your pediatrician can help you with questions like this. And by the way, once your baby roll over shes preparing herself to crawl. But my son never did crawl though.

i exploit this ingredient called a "rocker" from aim. that's the dimensions of a bassinet, yet sits at a average incline so infant would be cradled and can't roll around. that is tremendously huge, too, so a splash one as much as probable 9 months might desire to slot in it merely high-quality. via the time your infant grows out of something like that, she must be the right age to roll decrease backpedal of her tummy if she does so in her crib. The rocker is portable and that is basically $50, it quite is an exceedingly stable investment!

Congradulations on your new little girl. Babies usually start rolling over around 2-4 months old. My oldest son started around 4 months, my daughter started around 1 1/2 months, and my youngest son started around 2 months.

My son first rolled over when he was 2 months old. He rolled from tummy to back several times in a row and continues to do so. I know that the norm is usually around 4 months or so, but he passionately hates tummy time so I think he needed to find away to stop tummy time. ha ha
He still hasn't rolled from back to tummy, but I hope it's soon!

My son was 2 months old but he has always been very very ahead physically. He is all boy, totally into sports!

My daughter was 4 months when she rolled over. (My son was sitting alone for a few seconds at a time 4 months!) She has been behind all his physical achievements and was really wobbly as she learned to sit, crawl, walk.

They're all different!

Congrats on your baby girl! Enjoy her!

Congratulations!
They can certainly roll at any time accidentally, but my son rolled (consistently) from front to back at 4 months and consistently from back to front at 4.5 months. But as others have said, every baby is different - the amount of time she spends on her tummy playing will have something to do with it as well.

My daughter rolled from belly to back at 4 months, but she did not start rolling from back to belly until 6 months.

Assume she can do it now. My daughter started about 3 months. But I never took any chances. She was either on the floor on in something that had sides like her bassinet or crib.
