I don't think there is anything to worry about. But I would not let it happen all the time because then he won't sleep through the night if he gets in that habit. Enjoy it. Do something for yourself! Wake him up by 8:30 if he has not gotten up. See what type of mood he is in. If he is really tired and cranky still lay him back down. Something must of exhausted him or he might be having a growth spurt.

As long as he doesn't have a fever (you can tell by feeling him) he's just a growing little man who needs his rest! Maybe he'll wake up in the middle of the night but i am sure he just needs his rest See how he acts tomarrow if he is overly grouchy or have a temp call your pediatrician Take a nap yourself you probaly need it!

some say you should feed the baby every four hours
some say you should let them sleep and when they want food they will tell you
and some say you should relax and get some down time when they sleep
having a baby is like going to war without the bullets
what ever you do will be right as the human race has been around for a long time now
if your that worried don't ask us ask your mum

Sometimes babies this age are just more tired than normal. When my daughter was three months old, she went down once at 2:30 pm and slept until 5:30 the next morning...I kept checking on her, and other than waking up really hungry the next morning, she was totally fine!!!

My children used to take a nap like that when they were little. If he is still breathing and his heart rate feels normal, don't worry. Yes, I have actually counted breaths and heart rate on my children while they were younger. If you are still concerned after counting his heart rate and breath, then place a call to the doctor or emergency room.

No there's no need to be alarmed he's just growing. Is he close to being 5 months? You'll notice as time goes on he'll sleep for a longer period of time but less often a day.

Unless his sleeping pattern is being ruined, sleep is actually good for him, so let him sleep, unless this persists for a long period of time. If he begins to sleep this amount of time at a daily basis, I don't see how waking up a growing baby would help! =D
Good luck!

You are blessed, never wake him up but check to see if he is OK. Changing is good too, keep his food handy, he will be hungry and cry his head off due to hunger prangs.
Sleep is very good for a child that age it develops the brain.
