At 12 months it is recommended to start switching them to whole milk. I mixed half the amount of formula up like normal and then added it in with the milk for a couple of days and then slowly decreased the amount of formula until after about a week he was drinking all milk.

I just took my 12 mo old in for his 1 year check up and my dr advised me to change him over to whole milk. But before that I would just let him take in as much as he wanted as long as he was eating his baby food or something else.

He doesn't drink formula milk anymore. He is on Organic soy milk, he has a hard time keeping Whole milk down.

none!!! whole milk it is now my baby just changed on to it 4 days ago his just turned one he loves it!!!

It's good that you ask this question, because it shows you care about your child. But here is my question to you: why are you asking a bunch of strangers this, and not your child's doctor?
