Nazis killed a lot of people, right? Infant formula kills a lot of babies, right? So they call US nazis for promoting breastfeeding and trying to give moms the support they need to continue? Any thoughts?
I don't feel like cleaning today, so I'm here starting trouble. ;-)

No, no, formula is good for infants. They wouldn't sell it if it wasn't! The FDA (or other government agency I know nothing about) wouldn't allow it! Pediatricians know loads about infant nutrition and they say it's okay!
Also, I did my research and I use a good formula, it's Nestlé, it's got COMFORT PROTEINS!
Plus you can't criticize me! I TRIED to breastfeed and I did not have enough milk! My baby was nursing every, like, TWO HOURS when she was a newborn, so obviously I wasn't making enough!
Also, my baby is not dead, so you're WRONG. So there! Baby poop is supposed to reek like that, and the "reflux" has nothing to do with the formula... What's "artificial" feeding? It's not artificial, it's real formula!

It's got nothing to do with formula vs. breastfeeding, it's used all over the internet for every group of people who feel strongly that they're right.
I do a lot of creative writing, and people who object to unproofread tripe being posted are called "grammar nazis". Or "spelling nazis". People who complain when someone gets facts wrong about a TV show are called "canon nazis". So I'm afraid you can't claim special treatment here.

I would pay no attention, the least they could do is come up with an original name. That name Nazis is old and overused. It is over 68 ears old and the Nazis have been in power for 7 years, horrible years.,It is a relatively short time, considering that 68 years later we still find the need to use the name, for lack of thinking of a new term.

i think it is the way some come across. Formula is not the evil people make it out to be. BF is best (and I am so glad that I am able to give my daughter that great start!), but I was formula fed (I wouldnt eat and was failure to thrive...I would only sleep when I nursed) and I have a PhD. My bro was formula fed (my mom's brain swelled after delivery and she had to be on muscle relaxants) and he is a lawyer. My baby bro was BF (no problems with him LOL) and he is a chemical engineer. I would say that all 3 of us were fine and fed differently.
Offer kindness and support, not judgment. This is hard enough without feeling attacked by whichever side (formula or BF)!!

Lol! So trueee. I'm not cleaning either, I rather stick around and read the answers of the ecologist formula feeding moms!
My thoughts: I don't get why people get so defensive if they are convinced they are doing the right thing. Every day I get a lot of **** from formula moms and I don't feel the need to call them names...

ACTUALLY SEXINESS. poweder formula had been linked to some deaths and brain damage. havent you ever seen the law office commercial? besides, it's made in a factory that can contaminate. doctors dont tell women to use formula they tell em' to breastfeed unless you cant some people just dont listen or care i would like to be a lactation consultant so i can offer support to every breastfeeding mother i meet. i, myself had trouble at first but i got through it
my best friend uses formula but even though i wish she would have at least tried using the breast i dont hate her, i love her baby and everything is fine i just want the BEST for my baby
call me a nazi for not giving my son milk that was made for another species and giving him something that was MADE FOR HIM( i already cleaned lol)
IM sorry for the babies whos apretns are obviously not doing enough research on what they are feeding their babies and im sorry for the babies who's mom jsut didnt want to do it because they didnt want them thta close to them i mean after all tehy did come out of YOUR VAGINA

Becuase some of the people who advocate breast feeding feel so stongly about it they practically kill you with the looks they give you when you admit you have had to change to formula. Regardless of the reasoning for switching.
And I would like to know how many babies formula has been proven to kill? My son is prefectly healthy and fine. You can give me all the 'thumbs downs" you want to. You have no idea how you people make a new mom feel. Horrible to treat someone in such a way, especially when they are trying their hardest.

Man, if I would have known that nursing your newborn, like, every two hours meant that I didn't have enough milk...I would have given up LONG ago!! Instead I breastfed my 3 children for 9 months plus. I wonder if my milk has "comfort proteins" hmmm...
