My baby is 24wks and has suddenly embraced weaning! I tried baby rice etc and not interested and then suddenly has throughly enjoyed puried veg. I have been offering HIPP jars and he has been eating roughly nearly a full jar of veg and then a good quarterof a jar of fruit. In the morning he has been eating baby porridge. I have gradually introduced a taster of solids (again veg) at lunch time. He has automatically dropped his bottle and I although I still offer it, his consumption has reduced.

When can I introduce meat into his diet? The HIPP jars seem to suggest that I can, but I am not sure and don't want to introduce it too early. I know that he is still too young for Gluten and therefore have not offered that at all.

I don't want to rush him and do harm, but I would like him to experience a full range of foods as possible.

I figured since it wasn't an actual fall from being on top of something he might be fine. He was in a sitting position and fell backwards and I heard a thump. He was crying but now he's fine.. He actually just fell asleep.. I still worried though...

I dont like anyone touching my breasts bc of my past. It looks like bc of our current financial situation, I have to breast feed. Can I just always pump them instead of having him suck on them? thanks so much!

I know I'm gonna have to start making him food. But I don't cook or know any recipes. What do you feed your 11 month old thats healthy if your not a healthy eater and nutritionally challenged yourself? I refuse to let him know what its like to be obese! (like me)

I've had two lately.
The first was when we went up to my brother's house. We got the kids out of the car and were unloading the stuff, and I couldn't find the diaper bag. We were over an hour from home, so big problem. Well, we went in the house, and I was all freaking out, then I dropped what I was carrying and found the diaper bag on my shoulder. Duh!
Then this weekend we were at a friend's house for dinner. One of the other kids dropped her plate on the floor. She made the comment, "Well at least I didn't drop it on the baby." Suddenly I started looking around frantically for the baby and couldn't find him anywhere. Then I looked down, and he's in my arms drinking his bottle. Double duh!!

Do you think our society would benefit from educating women about the benefits of breastfeeding in high school during sex/reproductive education ? and stomp out the misconceptions that cow's milk formula is just as good ? I'm a nurse and am shocked that so many people believe that breast milk loses it's nutritional value at 6 months postpartum or that formula is "just as good". What do you think?

She had her 1st taste of cereal this morning otherwise she has been eating only breastmilk..should she have some cereal for supper too on her first day or should she just wait till tomorrow. By the way she took to the spoon very well as she has been watching us eat like a hawk, so if anything she was more than ready.

I recently stopped breastfeeding my little girl and has not kept any of it down, in the last week! The first three days she spit up every once in a while which is obviously normal for a baby...but lately she spits up every time she stops drinking, literally! I called the pediatrician and he had me switch formulas two days ago but it didnt change...does this sound like a dairy allergy??? I think it does but the doctor said that was being way to concerned...i'm thinking of changing pedi's but im not sure if i should or not?

Okay, I'm 24 weeks and having a boy.. I want to have him cicumcised.. But I don't know the best way to have it done.. I heard the pediatrician does it.. but is it better to have a rabi do it? I'm not Jewish.. But I think a Rabi is doing it for God, and a doctor is doing it 'cause it's their job.. It seems to me a Rabi would do a better job?

Opinions, personal stories, information?

Thanks!
