Freezing may slightly alter the milk, but it is more the heating it that causes problems.

Per Breastfeeding, A Guide for the Medical Profession by Ruth Lawrence, MD (p. 438):
Breastmilk can safely stand at room temperature for 6 to 8 hours and need not be discarded if the first feeding attempt is incomplete. In contrast, formula must be refrigerated and discarded after the first feeding attempt because it contains no antibodies or infection protection factors.
Can I 're-use' pumped breastmilk? Q&A by Ruth Lawrence, MD
"... If the milk is warmed up but not used, it is OK to reheat the milk once. But the more you reheat the more you decrease some of the valuable immunologic properties of the milk..."

Hello there,
I was getting ready to answer your question when I noticed that "Mystic_Eye_cda"had already done so. I read her answer and there is absolutely nothing I would add. She has done her usual and through job.
I would just suggest that you read her answer, follow the links and maybe even print it out for future reference. She knows her stuff.
The only other source of information that I would recommend would be the La Leche League. They have published the book "The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding", it is fantastic and and contains all the information you could ever need.
Breastfeeding is so much more than a way to get milk into baby's tummy, it s a way of loving, a way of nuturing your baby. It creates a bond that you will always have with that child and you will never be sorry for breastfeeding. I breastfed all four of my babies and it was the most wonderful experience of my child rearing days.
Good luck and have fun. You will have a wonderful time!
Love and Blessings

Yes it does, just don't thaw it by letting it sit out. Heat it up in boiling water, or under a hot faucet, and only let baby eat it for up to 4 hours after. Then discard. Don't ever microwave!!
