Have you thought about putting cereal in is bottle. I have a 10 month old and she sleeps through the night with no problem now. Gerber makes really good baby cereals, even ones with fruit in them. I recommend the rice cereal with bananas b/c the rice is gentle on the baby's stomach. That way the baby will be full and try to make a bath a routine at nighttime too. Babies love schedules. As far as measuring the cereal for the formula. Make the bottle as usual and for every 2 ounces of formula, use 1 tablespoon of cereal. Good luck! Hope you get a good nights sleep!

I had the same problem with my son, started around 6 months but he was waking up every 1 1/2 hours all night. Best thing I ever did was buy a book called Dream Baby Guide by Sheyne Rowley. It is about 700 pages long but so worth it in the end. I know a lot of people think reading from books wont help, but after I read the book and put in practice her suggestions my son now sleeps from 7pm - 7am. Well worth a try!!

Okay. Here we go. Right before you retire for the night, you wake baby up and give him a bottle, so you know he is full at that point. Then you put him down. If he uses a binky, make sure that's in the crib, and leave a bottle of water in the crib, too. You may need to play some soft music. Stay out of his room as much as possible.
Your child needs to learn to self-comfort. That's a very important skill.
Hope this helps. It worked with ours.

Please dont give your 7 month old 2% milk.... His little tummy cant handle it yet. What helps my 8 month old sleep is some dinner around 6pm and then then I try to keep up for the next 3-4 hours. I usually try to put her down between 9-10 with a warm bottle and I swear by my fisher price aquarium I have in her crib. She loves listening to it and watches the fishies swim while she drinks her baba. I then slowly creep out of the room.... It took about two weekd for this routine to work but now its instant sleepy time once she has her bottle and hears the music play... zzz zzz..... Good luck!!!

my daughter slept through the night until about 8 months old and then she was waking up 3-4 times a night. It took me a while to realise she was teething because her teeth hadnt broken through yet. Just reasure the little one, dont pick him up and you can decide if you think he needs the bottle at night time or not. If you decide no then dont give it to him and leave him in his cot and gently pat his back or tummy to put him back to sleep......i never put the light on either when I did this.....just a small night light because I didnt want to stimulate the little one to want to get up. Hope this helps?!

kids don't sleep thru the night until they are about 5 or 6 years old... How about trying to make sure both you and the child lay down to sleep at the same time. Most parents put a child down to sleep and then still stay up two or three hours to get things done..You really need to sleep when your child does.

My daughter stopped that around that time. I was going nuts! What we noticed is that around that age, she was at a growth spurt. So with more food around dinner time, and more cereal in her milk around bedtime, one day, she just slept through the night. If that doesnt work, then he must be weaned off. Like lessen the ounces, ounce by ounce every day. Evenutally, he will stop. Also, it might not be impossible that he is teething. Try Little Teethers, which is all natural and soothes baby's gums. My baby liked this and it used to calm her down. Have you tried a pacifier? He might just need comforting and not a bottle. Anyway, I think that is all I could think of! Good luck!

Dont give him big people milk!!! Dont worry it's normal, my son still wakes up he's 10 months. I just deal with it, wake up and make his little 7 oz of milk. I swear i can feed him all day long and he still wont be full enough to sleep all night!!

It's normal for a seven month old to wake up at night. Try to be patient with him.Remember, this too shall pass. Don't give him cows milk yet!!! That is horribly unhealthy.
