My son who is 8 months old has a flatness to the back of his head, called plagiocephaly... and is going in for the DOC band in two weeks. Just wondering if anyone out there has a child or know of a child that has gone through the same thing? Any pointers or suggestions? How did you handle stares and comments from other people? Did you see a significant improvement? Did you paint yours? If you did, how did you do it? Thank you!

my daughter has been 'teething' since 5 1/2 months. now she is 7 months and still no tooth has erupted. how long does it take until a tooth comes out? i know she is teething because at 5 1/2 months she was yanking at her ear, which i thought was an ear infection, but when i took her to her doctor, i was told she was teething.

She has soft, curly hair. I don't understand why it just won't grow in the back, I wash her hair every wk and she rarely sleeps on the back of her head to stop it from growing. If anyone knows some good hair growth for black babies it would be much appreciated. thank you.

Do they remain large if you are breastfeeding? What if you decide to not breastfeed, do they shrink back down to normal? Serious answers only please:) I am a new expectant mother (6 months pregnant), and would really like to know what others have experienced after pregnancy. Thanks!

My baby will nurse for 30-45 minutes on one breast, then she is fussy for an hour. I know she is tired but fights sleep so badly. She is 1 week old today.
I burp her, change her, swaddle her and console her. Even let her cry for a bit. She constantly roots and acts hungry. She is gaining and dr says shes healthy.
This happens almost everytime I feed her.
Is this normal? Any suggestions? She also seems to be getting hiccups after feedings.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have heard that breastfeeding is good for a baby's development, but then I have heard that it doesn't do a thing. So anybody have any information about whether or not that it is a good or bad thing? And if so, why or why not is it?

My baby boy lost his speech and lines things up, rocks and bangs head and stares at wheels on cars. He never responds to his name. We are starting Early Intervention therapy. Just wanted opinions on what you think causes autism. He did have a bad reaction to the MMR vaccine. I am considering not having any more vaccines for him. He is do again in September for vaccines and I might refuse them.

At just three weeks, we recently switched from breastfeeding to a "Gentle Ease" formula for fussy babies or those with gas. Up until now, his BMs have been a light mustard color and very loose, like normal babies. Should I be concerned?

Ok, so I had my first baby girl this past Saturday. She was 8lbs. 13oz. and delivered via c-section. As far as my healing is going, I'm doing just fine. Yesterday was our first day home and I am so overwhelmed with different emotions, I feel like I just got pregnant again. I'm wondering is it normal to feel "not yourself" and out of it with some mixed emotions during the first few days, or weeks? I would love to hear some of your stories and how you coped with this new feeling. Thanks!

I not sure how to put it any lightly, but I am concerned that my 4 week old baby boy might have something wrong with his privates. The first few weeks after he was born, I was just so happy that he was healthy and didn't really pay attention to anything else. However, as the weeks went on and I gave him baths and changed his diapers I began to realize that his privates probably should not be so small, even though he is only 4 weeks old. A few days ago my son got an awful stare from a lady at a family restroom when I was changing him. It does not look like his testes are descended and you can hardly tell he has a penis. Only a little bit of foreskin can be seen. He does not have much pubic fat so it is probably not buried underneath that. My doctor did not mention anything about this and I am a little embarassed to ask about it. Might he have some hormonal issues while he was developing? What should I do? Should I jus

My 8 month old will spend 1/2 an hour or less at our pool and want to go home. She has a couple of floats and theres really nowhere I can like lie her down or put her so unless we're in the pool she basically has to sit on my lap on a lawn chair or I have to hold her. Any advice on what else I can do with her?

I considered bringing her pack n play with toys and a sunshade but their so expensive and I don't know if she'll even use it.
