can someone please explain to me what gripe water is as I see this on here all of the time.....

it is a herbal remedy used in the relief of wind and colic in babies. it is usually given in drop or liquid form. Its main active ingredients are ginger, dill and fennel and sometimes chamomile. all of which are safe for babies.
It has been around for centuries and used in heaps of different cultures around the world, though sometimes its ingredients differ a little depeding on the climate etc.
some people swear by this, and think its the next best thing to sliced bread, and some find it makes no difference on their babies discomfort.
but it doent hurt to try.

Gripe water has mint exract and soothes the bowels and intestines. It really does work!

It's a herbal remedy that soothes their tummies. It used to have alcohol in it, but it doesn't anymore. The kind we used had dill in it, but others have mint and other herbs that aid digestion.
When you have a tiny baby with trapped wind it is MAGIC!!!

it is for colic to relieve stomach aches caused by trapped gas.
if your baby doesn't have colic don't give him/her gripe water
