I have a a 4 week old baby and he's always miserable. He's always complaining and crying. He just wants to be carried all day and even when he's being carried, he's still complaining. There's nothing wrong with him, he's changed, fed, and I can't think of anything else he's just completely miserable. My daughter was never like this when she was a baby and I'm not used to him crying 24/7. Is anyone else going through this?

Can anyone suggest a feeding schedule fo a 5 month old? How much, how often. We are just starting on fruits and veggies. Dr, says 3 tbls TOTAL a day (half cereal and half fruit or veg), and four 6 oz bottles a day. Doesn't seem enough to me. What worked for you?

*My daughter is 8 1/2 months. She used to be eating 2 containers of food at lunch and dinner easily and has just recently started fighting after just one. I don't push it, I figure she's full but within an hour she'll take down a 6 ounce bottle.

*She's great at picking up her own food. She loves cheerios, cheese, pasta, toast w/ butter, some veggie chunks, applesauce, yogurt but that's it. I have yet to find a fruit chunk that she likes.

*I've heard that between 9 and 12 months when babies perfect feeding themselves they don't want to be fed and that's when it's time to stop baby food, correct? My problem is, my daughter hardly eats enough "people food" to tide her over for a meal.

Any suggestions??

I have 7 week old twins and during feeding time one of them starts screaming in pain, as I have started taking note of what is happening I have noticed that he does this while he is pooping and he just screams the entire time, but as soon as he is finished pooping everything goes back to normal. Has anyone ever heard about this happening before? If so what are possible solutions?

My son has had some congestion for a few days and went for his one month checkup Monday and the doc said he just has a cold and to use saline drops. I started those yesterday and ever since he has been worse. He has no fever 97.9, but he is so congested and is sleeping very restless(I have been up since 3:00am). He is coughing alittle, mainly when laying down, and sneezing. What do you suggest?

My son is 4 years old and we sometimes get strange looks from strangers when I feed him in public. What is a good age to stop breastfeeding? He really enjoys it and I don't want to deprive him. Thanks!

I hold my 4 month old daughter...a lot. When she's fussy, when she's not fussy, when she's content, when she's cooing...if she's awake, chances are good that I'm holding her. I do make sure that she gets adequate "tummy time" when she's awake and alert to make sure her motor development doesn't get behind.
The reason I ask is that I have a friend who has a baby slightly older...and she says she only holds her baby when she is feeding her. The baby seems perfectly content in her pack n play or bouncy seat, don't get me wrong...but her reasoning is that if you hold a baby too much the baby will become spoiled, clingy and dependant. I've heard the same thing from other people...and still others have told me that the baby builds a sense of security and trust with you when you respond quickly to his/her needs.
I love holding my daughter. I will admit that I do it for purely selfish reasons. BUT...I do want to know if this will affect her personalilty negatively

How soon after birth?
How far of a distance?
How long did you stay away from home?
Any problems with baby?

Just curious, I'm due in a couple weeks and hubby is eager to plan a trip to introduce baby to relatives.

Of course, I understand, health of baby is a MAJOR factor and before we start to seriously plan something we will verify it's ok to go with pediatrician. But, for now, just curious what your experiences were? Thanks!

I NEED! links for baby portable playpens. I need it to be under $80. If it had a bassinet at the top that would be even better for him to sleep by my bed. I don't really want an actual bassinet because I want him to be able to play in it and stay in there so I'm not holding him or following him around every second.

Is it normal to feel lumps on your breast when you're lactating. The reason I ask is because a little while ago I was quite full of milk, I have an over supply, anyway, I went to pump and felt a huge lump on my right breast. It softened up after pumping but even when I was full before I never felt it until today. Is it normal?

My friend fed her 9-month old niece honey & we didn't know we weren't supposed to feed it to her until I read the label, but nothing happened to the baby. It wasn't honey by itself, but it was honey inside of a smoothie.

i have a research paper about filipino superstitions to prove if that certain superstition is a FACT or OPINION.I need reference and facts to prove or justify my answer. so guys this is my myth:
IF A BABY OFTEN HOLDS HIS FEET IT MEANS HE WANTS A YOUNGER BROTHER OR SISTER.

for sure, it is an opinion but can you please give me more facts to justify my conclusion. thanks!

Im breastfeeding my baby for over a year now. If this is true, i'm gonna ask my husband to do it the next time we have a baby. (Lol) By the way, i saw this on tv but the program did not provide a detailed information. I just want to know if it is a fact or a myth.

I know baby bottles at night can rot their teeth but I never have heard of any one talk about cups rotting the teeth. He goes to sleep on his own and does not walk around with a sippy cup in his mouth. I have tried giving him water when he wakes up but he wants that milk. Do I have any reason to worry? Thanks

You might say that I'm a little dull...
...not exactly stupid, but I could definately be smarter.

Does this have anything to do with the fact that I was bottle-fed as an infant?
Or what about the fact that my mom smoked when she was pregnant with me?

I don't have kids and I'm not sure how I can help and be supportive as my friends just had their baby 2 months early. Baby will be in the hospital for several weeks - that must depress a new Mom not to have their baby at home. And I am sure they are scared to death - this is their first child. I want to be there for them, but not intrude.
Suggestions are GREATLY appreciated.

I use to have an excelant memery. But after my pregnancy I feel like I've forgot so many things. I just don't feel the same anymore. I even feel like my eye sight isn't the same. Do any women feel this way? Or did you feel this way after your pregnancy?
