If she's thirsty, she'll drink water. If you want to avoid the power play, you could dilute her juice more so she could have 4 oz juice with 12 oz of water.

Is she teething? My daughter is 7 1/2 months and will do this from time to time, I would say for maybe a week at most. I figured it was due to teething, although she has no teeth yet. I read that sometimes babies can be bothered by it long before they ever sprout a tooth, and it can come and go. Maybe check her gums? I have nipples for my daughter's bottles that have little bumps on them to massage their gums. Those work really well and they must help because she takes her bottle better. I don't remember who made them, but I'm sure there are a few brands. But maybe it is just that she needs a faster or slower flow nipple for her bottles? I hope things get better for your little one!

If she's breastfed, that provides ALL her fluid and nutritional needs until she's a year old.
How do you know she's still thirsty? Did she tell you? If she's ill and not feeding properly or she's dehydrated and not urinating, that's a different story, but if she's healthy, she doesn't need juice or water unless the doctor who sees her regularly tells you she does.

if she's just thirsty I'd give her water, she'll learn to like it. at least further dilute her juice (make sure it's 100% juice, no sugar added) if she's just craving something sweet - make fruit smoothies, you can even put yogurt into it. while cow's milk is not good for babies under 12 months, yogurt is good.
and at 8 months, still make sure she is getting enough breastmilk. until their 1st birthday, babies need to get all their nutrition from baby milk (even if it's the fake stuff). the rest is forming good habits experimenting with new foods.
good luck

do half of breastmilk and half formula. that will gradually ween the baby off of breastmilk. And with the water they eventually will drink it. Now would be a good time to take the baby off the bottle too. Try using a sippy cup with a soft tip.

We gave our daughter water and she eventually took to it, though we never gave her juice, so that *may* be why she liked plain water. Some mamas swear by putting ice in it...makes it seem special :)
We also gave our daughter rice milk and soy milk. Soy isn't recommended until 9 months because of potential allergies, FYI.

I would give her more water, less juice and just keep giving that to her.
