He should be fine, but the usual rule after any type of thing like this is not to let your child go to sleep b/c of the possibility of a concussion. Signs of a concussion are unusual eye movements or pupils that are unequal in size; persistent vomiting; or excessive sleepiness. Depending on your baby's age, look for a change in how he crawls or walks; weakness or confusion; or problems with speech, vision, or motor skills. There is also always a risk of a skull fracture. Signs of a possible skull fracture: A large, soft area on the scalp, especially on the side of the head (above or behind the ear); blood showing in the whites of his eyes; or pinkish fluid or blood draining from his nose or ears.
Altho your baby probably is fine, you should always know the danger signs of any possible head injury.

chances are he will be fine. just keep an eye out. Look for:
> that this sleep is normal and he wakes normally and after a usual amount of time
> that the bump is hard and not squishy at all
> that his eyes are normal and that he is not sick or woozy
It sounds like a little fall, though - he's probably have many more ;-) I went to ER/A+E the first time my daughter fell down the stairs, but didn't bother the second time...!

He'll be fine my kids bump heads with each other or a wall all the time and their ok. He most likely fell asleep from all the crying you may however want to wake him if he does not wake up within a hour or so. Check his pupils to make sure their evenly dialated and if he isnt vomiting he's fine.

i have a tent month old too. i know how you feel! i try so hard to constantly make sure he doesn't get hurt but there are always those split second moments when they get hurt. Their heads are made to withstand bumps and bruises since they are so wobbily at this age. My son fell straight back on his head when he was 5 months old when he was learning to sit up..usually I'd put his boppy behind him...but my mother inlaw was watching him though and the poor little guy cried sooo hard. He was fine though. Just keep your eye on him to make sure he acts normal when he wakes up.

My daughter fell of toys and hit her head on concrete many many circumstances and she or he's very more advantageous mentally notwithstanding, she did not fall out of her Cot at 10 months (that took place while she replaced into approximately 2 years previous - I rectified that by following the under suggestion). Your daughter desires to be in a cot or have factor railings positioned on her mattress in case you 've used her cot for a youthful toddler (assuming you have a toddler who's some weeks previous). We did not use railings. We used our eating chairs that have been there for the final 2 years - the seat desires to stand your daughter in mattress or it rather is going to tip while she leans in the back of the chair)

Next time don't let him go right to sleep. It could be a slight concussion, but as long as he has stopped crying, he's ok. For future note, when he hurts himself, press the area. If he starts crying again, he really hurt, other than that.....don't worry. There are many more bumps and bruises to come!

someone once told me that if your baby bumps his head, if the bump comes out like a normal bump, then hes fine but if the bump goes in then its bad, you need medical help, but babies fall alot and bump theirs heads alot so im sure hes fine

bumps happen, just make sure from now on to keep padding behind him. Check for bruising and swelling, if present, have him checked. If just a little red, keep an eye on it and look for changes.

Watch him and make sure he stays OK. If he acts any different or doesn't react OK, get him checked out. Kids fall a lot.
